QB -- Peyton Manning. Broncos -- The guy is on a pace to come close to throwing for 6,000 yards. He has 29 touchdown passes. Unreal.

RB -- LeSean McCoy, Eagles -- He leads the NFL in rushing with 733 yards and has been special in the Eagles' wide-open offense. He is a true "air" back.

WR -- Calvin Johnson, Lions -- He has nine touchdown catches and is averaging 17.5 per catch. Did you see him against the Cowboys?

WR -- Jordy Nelson, Packers -- He has seven touchdown catches and is averaging 16.6 per catch on his 39 catches.

Slot receiver -- Wes Welker, Broncos -- He has nine touchdown catches and 50 receptions. Manning loves him.

TE -- Jimmy Graham, Saints -- Despite having foot problems, he continues to put up big numbers. He is a receiver playing tight end.

LT -- Joe Thomas, Browns -- He's done an exceptional job in pass protection. That's why I give him the edge over some other tackles.

LG -- Evan Mathis, Eagles -- He's a battler who will fight and move and does a solid a job in the run game in pass protection. He never lets up.

C -- Manny Ramirez, Broncos -- He moved over from guard because of injuries and has done a great job in a complicated offense for centers. He's smart, and it shows.

RG -- David DeCastro, Steelers -- He has become the physical mauler the Steelers thought they were getting when they drafted him in the first round last year.

RT -- Sebastian Vollmer, Patriots -- It's too bad he went down for the season with a leg injury. He was playing at a high level and was my pick at right tackle over Andre Smith.
Defense

These players play in a 3-4 system

DE -- J.J. Watt, Texans -- He isn't on pace to get his 20-20-20, but he's still having a special season. He sees a ton of doubles.

NT -- Dontari Poe, Chiefs -- He's been a force against the run and has 4 1/2 sacks. He's one of the most-improved players. I picked him over Damon Harrison of the Jets.

DE -- Muhammad Wilkerson, Jets -- He has seven sacks and has been a force against the run. He will be spending a lot of time in Hawaii the next decade.

OLB -- Robert Mathis, Colts -- He leads the NFL in sacks with 11 1/2. At 31, he isn't slowing down.

OLB -- Justin Houston, Chiefs -- He is tied for second in the league with 11 sacks. He's also good against the run.

These players play in a 4-3 system

DE -- Michael Johnson, Bengals -- He isn't piling up sack numbers, but he is playing at a high level. He gets pressures, he's good against the run and he will be paid a lot of money as a free agent next spring.

DT -- Jason Hatcher, Cowboys -- He has seven sacks from his tackle spot. That's impressive.

DT -- Ndamukong Suh, Lions -- Forget all the stuff he does in terms of being dirty, he's a heck of a player and he's playing at a high level.

DE -- Robert Quinn, Rams -- He has 10 sacks in eight games and showed Monday night against Seattle how good he is rushing the passer.

OLB -- Lavonte David, Bucs -- He is one of the few bright spots for a team that is winless. He plays hard all the time and has a nose for the football.

OLB -- Vontaze Burfict, Bengals -- What a pleasant surprise he's been for this team. In his second season, he has emerged as a star in the making.

MLB/ILB -- Sean Lee, Cowboys -- He is having a special season, He can play the run and he's really good against the pass. He has four interceptions.

Secondary

CB -- Vontae Davis, Colts -- He's done a great job in coverage. You saw it firsthand against DeMaryius Thomas a couple of weeks ago.

CB -- Richard Sherman, Seahawks -- He is brash, loud and backs it up. I love the way he plays.

Nickel corner -- Tramaine Brock, 49ers -- He took over as the nickel corner when Nnamdi Asmougha went down and he isn't going to give the job back. He has three picks.

SS -- T.J. Ward, Browns -- This kid impressed me last season, but he's been even better this time around. He's made a lot of plays.

FS -- Devin McCourty, Patriots -- He is proving what I think will be a trend: The best free safeties will be converted corners. He is always around the football.
Special Teams

K -- Matt Prater, Broncos -- He hasn't missed a kick yet and he's 3-for-3 from 50-plus yards. He also leads the league in touchbacks on kickoffs.

P -- Brandon Fields, Dolphins -- He leads in net yards and gross yards.

Returner -- Cordarrelle Patterson, Vikings -- Did you see him fly down the field on that 109-yard kickoff return Sunday night? It was his second touchdown return of the season.

Special Teams Player -- Marcus Easley, Bills -- He has made 12 tackles so far and seems to show up in coverage a lot.

Ramirez is NOT the best center in the league.

Hell, he's not even the best converted guard center. The Packers have been all of a sudden able to run the ball with ease, and Aaron Rodgers has taken the fewest amount of sacks through the first 8 games of the season out of ANY season in his career. All of that is due largely to Evan Dietrich-Smith being moved over to center for the first time in his career, and he's kicking so much ass. I usually don't pay attention to center play, but I've paid attention to him because he actually POPS OUT at the screen. The stuff he has been doing is unreal.

Prisco's a flaming retard.

LeSean McCoy over Jamaal Charles is a bit of a head scratcher to me.

Yeah, LeSean is leading the league in rushing yards, but Jamaal has more receiving yards than any other RB. They're currently tied at tops in the league at 1,018 yards from scrimmage (McCoy has 98 more yards rushing than Jamaal while Jamaal has 98 more receiving yards- weird) but Jamaal has 8 TDs as opposed to McCoy's 3.

LeSean's sexy rushing yardage total is also somewhat misleading. He's had 4 games this season with 55 or less yards. His total is benefitting largely from big days against us and Washington. Meanwhile, Jamaal has had 100+ yards from scrimmage and a TD in 7 of 8 games this season.

He's also a candidate for MVP, although he'll likely only have a shot at OPOY. Maybe I'm being a homer but I'd give the nod to Jamaal.

This schedule bullshit goes both ways with the Chiefs/Donks.

Who has Ramirez faced DT/NT-wise?

I know Phil Taylor at times made Rodney Hudson look just plain silly out there. Yet when he went up against Evan Dietrich-Smith, Phil Taylor couldn't find his dick at all.

Did you watch the SNF Vikings/Packers game? That's exactly what I'm talking about.

Explain how the Packers can be one of the most feckless teams in the league in running the ball for so many years, yet all of a sudden they're bursting holes wide wide the fuck open.

Eddie Lacy is a part of that, but these are huge holes. James Starks, brokedick Ryan Grant, and even John fucking Kuhn could get 100 yards with this kind of production.

That's primarily due to Evan Dietrich-Smith.

Its the same reason that Brian Westbrook was never regarded as the best running back even though he was damn good at catching the ball out of the backfield. On NFL Network LT didn't even have JC in his top 5 RB's, a guy out of Arizona over JC in fact.

He has one starter for each position in both the 4-3 and 3-4. In the 3-4 he omitted two ILBs completely but he had one for the 4-3 in Sean Lee. I'm not really sure what's going on so he's missing one ILB at the very least, maybe two.

What the **** is going on here? Am I in the twilight zone?

I said he was short an ILB (likely two since I doubt he'd double on Sean Lee to play both schemes). There are four LBs that play in the 3-4. He listed two OLBs so he needs two ILBs- not four. What the **** are we talking about here?

Tj Ward, over Eric Berry?

Alrighty then.

Uh, no.

And Vontae Davis over Joe Haden?

Uh, okay then. The only reason Vontae Davis had success against Demariyus Thomas is because Robert Mathis couldn't be blocked, and Peyton couldn't find Welker because Darius Butler was his shadow.

I like Vontae Davis, but there was much more of a reason for that lock down than just Davis, and a lot of it had to do with Bethea playing over the top.

No one fears Eric Decker.

Curious if CP has the ability to limit a poster's post per day ability. Blackbob needed to go because he shit all over every single thread and truly ruined the board by himself, much like Hootie typically does. Ignore does no good because the other idiots are constantly quoting and responding to them. I could handle anyone if you zapped their thread making ability and limited them to 10 posts per day, plus the added benefit might be that they would choose their responses wisely and actually up the quality of their posting.

He's not right though. We are playing ugly and still winning. We have had a couple of breaks, but the record isn't a fluke. We have been in control of pretty much every game and have rarely trailed. It isn't like we are winning like the bullshit Tebow pulled off in Pile High. Defensive dominate teams never get respect.

Why should almost the entire board go through all of that to keep 1-2 posters from shitting up every single thread? I've been here since the inception (lurked for a year) and the two aforementioned douches are the only two that I ever put on ignore which was ineffective.

NFL.com's All-Pro team

OFFENSE

Quarterback
Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos
Try to quell your surprise. Manning has thrown 29 TD passes in leading the Broncos to a 7-1 record. Denver's current point total (343) is more than half the teams will score all season.

Running Back
LeSean McCoy, Philadelphia Eagles
The NFL's leading rusher has averaged 4.7 yards per carry while being the most consistent piece of Chip Kelly's offense. He's also caught 25 balls coming out of the backfield.

Fullback
Mike Tolbert, Carolina Panthers
Tolbert might not be the most heralded player, but nobody can question his contributions. He's scored five touchdowns, picked up over 250 scrimmage yards -- and, of course, blocked.

Wide Receiver
Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions
If 329 receiving yards on one Sunday doesn't do it for you, how about 117.3 yards per game? Despite dealing with blanket coverage and no No. 2 receiver in Detroit, Megatron has seven touchdowns.

Wide Receiver
A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals
Second only to Calvin Johnson in receiving yards, Green continues to put his stamp on the Bengals' offense. Truth be told, he's the best wideout in the AFC and keeps improving.

Tight End
Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints
Graham has 630 receiving yards and eight touchdowns -- crazy numbers for a tight end -- and he's not even healthy right now. A testament to Graham's big-play ability: his 15.8 yards per catch.

Tackle
Joe Staley, San Francisco 49ers
A team leader in San Francisco, Staley has had a fine season thus far. He's had one false start and allowed a half sack -- that's it. And which team is leading the NFL in rushing? Take a guess.

Guard
Evan Mathis, Philadelphia Eagles
The best guard in football is having yet another great season. A preseason All-Pro selection, Mathis has given up a half sack while paving the way for the NFL's top rusher, LeSean McCoy.

Center
Chris Myers, Houston Texans
Myers is a team leader who brings it every down. Despite the Texans' poor season, he personally has raised his play. He's a beast in the run game and hasn't been flagged all season.

Guard
Louis Vasquez, Denver Broncos
In 347 Broncos pass plays, Vasquez has not allowed Peyton Manning to get hit once. Not even hit. Denver has run 99 times up the middle (third in the NFL). Wonder why ...

Tackle
Andrew Whitworth, Cincinnati Bengals
A preseason All-Pro selection, Whitworth was hurt in the early going this season. Despite facing some of the best pass rushers, he's yielded just two sacks. A true "lunch pail" guy.
DEFENSE

Defensive End
Robert Quinn, St. Louis Rams
If you watched the Monday nighter, you saw a man possessed. There were sequences where Seattle just couldn't stop him. Quinn has 10 sacks in eight games. Enough said.

Defensive End
Cameron Jordan, New Orleans Saints
Everyone has been raving about Jordan, who has six sacks and 21 combined hurries/knockdowns. Meanwhile, his unit looks nothing like it did in 2012. This is a good thing.

Defensive Tackle
J.J. Watt, Houston Texans
Watt plays a 3-4 defensive end and moves inside sometimes on passing downs. Regardless of where he is, he's dominant. See: Twenty-three combined knockdowns and hurries.

Defensive Tackle
Jason Hatcher, Dallas Cowboys
A former 3-4 end who could move inside like J.J. Watt, Hatcher has shifted to tackle permanently in Dallas' 4-3 defense. He's posted seven sacks while being the most consistent player on the defense.

Outside Linebacker
Justin Houston, Kansas City Chiefs
Houston put up a 10-sack season in 2012 when no one was looking. Now people are taking notice, as he's racked up 11 sacks (second in the league) for the top defense in the NFL.

Outside Linebacker
Tamba Hali, Kansas City Chiefs
It's cool when a team has a guy with 11 sacks on one side of the formation while the other outside linebacker leads the NFL with 28 knockdowns/hurries. Tamba Hali = The Other Guy?

Linebacker
Sean Lee, Dallas Cowboys
If you've seen Dallas play this year, you've seen Lee making plays all over the field, like his two interceptions in Detroit in Week 8. He's been a tackling machine, too, with 81.

Linebacker
Daryl Washington, Arizona Cardinals
Washington has played like a man possessed since coming off his four-game suspension. He already has 23 tackles, two sacks, two picks and six passes defensed. That's brisk.

Cornerback
Richard Sherman, Seattle Seahawks
Sherman gets left on an island a lot, and while there are other defenders who have played great -- like Darrelle Revis -- they lack the size to stop routes before they get started.

Cornerback
Aqib Talib, New England Patriots
Talib is similar to Richard Sherman in that he has the size to disrupt routes before they get going. He almost won a game in Atlanta by himself, being clutch when the Patriots needed him.

Safety
Earl Thomas, Seattle Seahawks
It was awesome watching Thomas, another preseason All-Pro selection, track down plays in St. Louis. QBs have thrown on him 16 times -- he's broken up six passes and picked off four.

Safety
T.J. Ward, Cleveland Browns
Ward has been balling this year. He's been solid in coverage, breaking up five balls while intercepting two more. Ward also has 57 tackles, a half sack and a touchdown. Nice.
SPECIAL TEAMS

Kicker
Stephen Gostkowski, New England Patriots
Gostkowski has gone 20 of 21 on field goals this season, and he's been a key component of several Patriot wins. He also has one of the lowest kick-return rates (22.7 percent) in the NFL.

Punter
Pat McAfee, Indianapolis Colts
McAfee is averaging 41.0 net yards per punt, while just 26.7 percent of his boots are being returned. He's been a big help to that Colts defense. Oh, and he has a great sense of humor.

Returner
Cordarrelle Patterson, Minnesota Vikings
You want answers? You want answers?!! Fine, Cordarrelle Patterson has been the best returner in the league, averaging an unreal 39.1 yards per kick return (with two touchdowns). #truth
