They're going to draft more linemen regardless of what I think their draft needs are.

Two outside pass rushers. I'm assuming Hali and Houston will be cut tomorrow.

Don't forget about an LT. Once Albert walks Smith will need more protection.

QB has to be #1.

I hate Smith but even I can admit we need some more playmakers as well, though. Not 5'6" 170 douchebags either. I'm talking big guys with speed that can change games.

Our offensive line is so young I'm hesitant to say we need to draft more there. Honestly, I know we do need to scrap this blocking scheme pronto, though. Go back to zone blocking. That will do a lot to get Jamaal going in the running game where we can then become more effective off the play action.

We're not getting a QB, so I'd say; WR, TE, OL, Rush LB.

Pretty much this, although I would put FS before RUSH LB'er.

A WR that actually has speed and can run good routes. Not just some guy that's been putting up numbers because of his size.

I would list a QB but they are not going to draft one. This team hasn't drafted one in 40 years so why assume it is going to so now?

Something must be wrong with Hemingway when Avery is getting snaps over him. Avery has hands of stone. He was a complete drive killer yet again tonight with an inexcusable drop. Bowe missed an easy catch. Charles drops a touchdown.

There is obviously no one on the roster to either push or replace these guys.

WR has to be addressed with guys who can catch and who can run decent routes.

And both of our starting guards blow. I'd love some insight as to why Asamoah or Allen continue to get starts rather than Schwartz who looks decent when he's come into games.

When did I EVER say the Chiefs shouldn't draft a QB?

Perhaps Smith was the best immediate answer, but damn; I hope he's not the long-term "solution".

Well one thing's for certain: Chase Daniel doesn't appear to have a future as a starter.

Should the Chiefs find a QB in the first, second or third in 2014 that they like, they should take him.

Foles was a third rounder and Reid certainly appears to have hit on him.

Unfortunately, the Chiefs pissed away their 2nd round pick.

I think there's a good chance they get at least a third rounder, if not a second, by trading back in the late first.

I don't know that it means much, as I'm sure they're scouting lots of players right now, but A buddy of mine at the Bama game the other day said there were a bunch of Chiefs scouts there looking at AJ McCarron.

You're often one of the first to rush to Alex's defense. It sort of makes you seem like a Smith apologist. That's just my perception though.

How would you grade Alex's performance tonight?

The Chiefs should be picking around 25.

What is late first?

Even if they moved back to 32 they'd be lucky to get more than a 4th.

Rush to his defense? I think you've been rather partial to my posts.

I'd give him a C+ for tonight's effort. A few less dropped balls and they may have had 3-7 more points, minimum.

Maybe we can find a gem like Josh Gordon in the draft.

It's easier to trade at #28 than #1

Because you don't have to give up near as much to make the move. No one is going to give up a 2nd round pick to move up a few spots from late first to late first.

What?

So a team picking at say, #34, isn't going to give up the #34, a third and maybe a 6th to get #28?

Again, what?

Last year the 49ers swapped firsts with the Cowboys to move from #31 to #18 and only surrendered a 3rd...
