Did CP rig another voting poll that I wasn't aware of?

Check it out here:

http://www.nfl.com/probowl/story/0ap2000000285130/article/peyton-manning-no-1-in-pro-bowl-votes-with-five-weeks-left

Apparently Branden Albert received more votes than any other LT in the league. Actually, he was the highest voted offensive lineman, period. That's not so bad? Well, OK. Jeff motherfucking Allen received the second highest amount of votes for guards behind Zane Beadles LMAO

In other, less fantastic news, Jamaal is the third most-voted player in the league behind Peyton and Brees while Poe, Hali, Berry and Colquitt were top 2 based on their respective positions.

Oh my god.

CP - I think this has to happen. We have to get Jeff !@#$ing Allen into the Pro Bowl.

Can we start a "I never do this, but I have a friend...." thread? The power of the planet has won park renovations and cutest baby contests, surely we can get this worthless pile of Pioli into the Pro Bowl.

The good news is that we would never have to hear "Well Matt Cassel made a Pro Bowl" ever again.

Because there wouldn't be a more cutting response in the world than "yeah? So did Jeff Allen..."

Does anyone else think this is just a devious ploy by Elway and the Broncos to make sure we don't dump this shithead in favor of Schwartz?

Actually you probably can make a case for Albert based on the fact that his PBE is way up there with the 3 best LTs in the AFC this season.

Allen, no way.

Maybe so, but it seems like a pretty weak case, particularly since pro bowl balloting is league-wide this year, not by conference.

These results are from the fans votes only, which account for 1/3 of the overall tally.

The players and coaches votes aren't released publicly.

Albert would be at the top. There could be something to that. The average fan doesn't care about voting for linemen so they just click the first one on the page to get past it.

He wants top money anyway. He's getting the average of the top 5 OT's this year and that would go up 20% if we franchised him again next year. I doubt very seriously he's back next year. Either we franchise him again and trade him or we just let him go and get the 3rd round comp. pick.

I'm gonna go and vote them down simply for the fact that I'm sure a lot of guys have bonus clauses if they're named to the Pro Bowl. Just trying to save us some $$$ so we have all the cap space possible for our wizard GM.

... and, no I'm not talking about voting down our guys that deserve it like Houston, Hali, etc.
Besides, Allen- are you fucking kidding me?
I also fear what a mess our line will be next season if Albert does walk, because Fisher sure doesn't invoke confidence at assuming our LT position at this point.

Albert's biggest struggle this year has been penalties other than that he is and has been for a few years as good of a tackle as there is outside of Cleveland. Jeff Allen isn't worthy of starting in the pro bowl lol no doubt about that, but the unrelenting scrutiny of his performance week after week on this thread is pathetic, and is possibly due to delirium built up from ski high expectations for o lineman. In 2010 we statistically had the #1 o line and yet this forum was calling for Barry Richardson's job the whole season. This is an improving o line, and Jeff Allen is an improving part of it.

Only for a 2nd and conditional 3rd that can become a 2nd if the team that acquires him wins 8 or more games.

In fairness to him, he's a weak link in string of weak links, he'd look atleast a little better if everyone around him besides Albert wasn't so pathetic.

An improving line? LMAO... are you watching actual games or talking about Madden 2013? Because this line is actually getting worse as we go, not better.

They don't do a single ****ing thing well, nothing.

Eleazar
11-21-2013, 04:55 PM
Albert has been pretty average, which is what I think he is. A league average left tackle.

With a line that has chumps lining up at the 3 interior line positions and a rookie at the other tackle spot, why as a defensive coordinator would you attack Albert? His numbers are probably being inflated by the rest of the line being bad.

I didn't think to mention it because it means nothing, but since you brought it up..

Asamoah's overall rating in Madden has actually gone up since the game first came out in August. He's been bumped up to 90 from an 88. Kind of shocking.

Its crazy that he even got an 88, he maybe, might deserve that as a pass blocker... but in the run he's just as bad as any of them.

I'd put him at an overall of 83.

I've always liked Big Jon.

He's basically covered on both sides by two rookies given Hudson's limited experience. That's got to make your job tough.
