View Full Version : Chiefs Who do we want to play in the first round?

Simple question. Who should we be rooting for to get the 4th seed?

Currently a 5-6 team holds the second wildcard so the chances of them catching us are basically zero.

Dreams of winning the division took a severe hit today. At best after next week we could be tied with Denver but with how we looked today it is hard to see us winning the division.

I realize these three division winners aren't set, but it looks like a pretty good chance they will win their respective divisions. So between the Colts, Bengals, and Patriots, who should we hope finishes as the 4th seed?

Cincinnati without a doubt.

They too have a QB that can't win a playoff game.

Someone will give.

Indianapolis.

But I don't know if my heart can take losing to those assholes in the playoffs again....

Are we sure we are a lock to the playoffs at 10 wins? I think this team goes 12 and 4, but with some bad luck and injuries I can see a scenario where they got 10 and 6.

It has to be over 95% odds because it would take two of these 5-6 teams winning out. I'm not even sure if that's possible the way the schedule works out... a lot of these teams have to play each other.

It would take two 5-6 teams winning out to get to ten wins to even have to worry about tie breakers. That isn't happening.

The Chiefs would make the playoffs at 9-7 this year. Look at the teams in the WC race.

Cincy is a bad matchup for us. Their OL is terrific.

If you neutralize our pass rush you expose The Smiths: Alex and Sean.

Cincy happens to be the least worst.

I'd rather play Indy. Worse D, worse OL.

We could beat them 17-14 or something.

I honestly think Cincy would pisspound us.

I'm shocked that anyone would want to face Cincinnati. Nasty OL, nasty defense, they match up great with us.

Indy's defense is terrible - bad enough that even if our defense struggles, we have a chance. Plus, Indy's OL is average at best. We have a better chance of getting to Luck.

AJ Green against Cooper, Smith or Flowers with no pass rush?

Goodnight, God Bless and drive safely.

Have you guys paid attention to Cincy in the playoffs?

They got beat last year by the Texans 3rd string QB.

EDIT: That was 2011 where Dalton threw 3 INTs and 0 TDs.

They lost last year against the Texans again where Dalton threw 1 INT and 0 TDs with their only TD coming from a pick 6.

I'll take my chances with Dalton over Luck.

But seriously, the Colts skill positions are not that great, and neither is their OL.

With an out-of-his-ass performance from Alex, I'd feel OK about that game.

Cincy? lol

You could argue they are all bad matchups because all of them are better than us. I'd just rather not have to face Luck in that dome in a playoff game, he'll win it.

If their is 1 thing I have learned from being a Chiefs fan my whole life is if their is 1 possible way the Chiefs can disappoint they will find a way to.

I would not put it past this franchise to have an epic collapse.
