Well...I would not be heartbroken if we go after Carr. Don't get too caught up in the name...their games are as similar as Jordan and Aaron Rodgers.

So here I hitch my wagon and pray for a Smith-Bray-Carr depth chart next year. :)

Naw.

I truly don't think we will draft a QB this year.

But it seems like everyone hitches their wagon to a QB every year and this is the QB (in this draft) who I'm hitching mine to.

good feet, good mechanics. seems to have some accuracy. he's a good prospect. better than Bray. he' going to be gone by the 20th selection. If the Chiefs want him, they will need to trade up.

I'm not hung up on the name, but David Carr didn't suck at Fresno either. That's why he was picked #1.

Fresno state is averaging like 9 yards a carry as well. But why run the ball, when you can throw it all over the ballpark.

I would be fine with Murray. I think a lot of his shit is due to awful coaching. Kids got a lot more talent to start with than most qbs Andy Reid has coached.

I would have no issues with Murray. If he is available in round 3 or later he could possibly be a good pickup.

I seriously doubt we take a QB in the 1st round, that will be for a pass catcher(WR/TE) and we don't have a 2nd rounder. So if a guy is there in the 3rd or 4th we might grab one.

Interesting highlight tape. There are definitely some things to like there:

- Arm strength looks to be above-average
- Makes some nice touch throws
- Looks like a solid athlete for a QB

Also some warning signs:

- Lot of desperation throws off the back foot that fit into a tight window. Those are likely picks at the next level
- Level of competition is a huge question mark

Also, a note to whoever put the highlight tape together.... things to avoid when making a highlight tape for a QB:

- Plays in which the QB is not involved (i.e. a handoff or zone read in which he gives the ball)
- Devoting large amounts of time to the QB celebrating is a waste of people's time.
- Christian rap? Wow.

I like Lynch. Been following him closely since he came in to the Iowa game last year off the bench (or was that the year before already?).

But do you really think he's an NFL QB? I'm not sure he is.

I've watched every game he's ever played and have known him since he came in as a freshman. I'm not sure what will happen but I feel extremely confident he makes a roster somewhere. He's gotta be the toughest QB I've ever seen. For as many hits as he takes every game he's never hurt and his passing ability has really improved. In HS he ran option so he never threw the ball and he's only started 2 yrs in college and is getting better and better. We'll see what happens. Excited to see what he does tonight. He needs 245 rushing to be the first 2000/2000 player ever

God I hope so! BG is solid on D but he's been over 300 in 2 separate games already this year so hard to say he won't for sure. It'd be nice to get it before the Heisman ceremony but im confident he will get to 2000
In the bowl game if not tonight

I think if Lynch took that many hits against major conference competition, you'd see him get hurt more. His NFL future will depend on his ability to avoid a bunch of big shots.

I like Lynch, though. Great physical tools and explosive playmaker. Not sure where his draft stock goes, but he's a good developmental prospect.

Admirable quality but probably won't be that big of a deal in the NFL.

Being able to read a defense is far more important than being able to call your own offense, considering there's like no QB in the league, outside of Manning, that's done it in the last few years.
