I just wanna win a playoff game this year. Since our last one I've graduated junior high, high school, college, gotten married and now expecting our first child. Things that we're/weren't going on then? Cell phones weren't main stream, Whitney Houston wasn't high (that we know of), Bobby Brown was humping around, Ace of Base was kinda cool, Sonic the hedge hog was not just a video game but a cartoon, Michael Jackson was white but not yet clear and noticeably falling apart, tight rolling jeans was just going out of style, etc. Feel free to share and continue. My parents always taught me to laugh at misfortune but then clean up your mess.

Yes. The thread title was something like 'life events since the last Chiefs' playoff win". It got posted, if I recall correctly, the summer before the 2012 season kicked off -if not well earlier-.

Since that last playoff win, I have worked for 8 different employers (mostly because of downsizing).
Had 4 children.
Went back to school for electronics training.
Tripled my salary.
Found this awesome message board full of idiots that like the same NFL team I do.

Since our last playoff win:

Bengals mistaken stat stricken
The Cardinals have lost a SuperBowl by 4 points.
A franchise that did not exist, the Ravens has won 2 SuperBowls.
The Browns have won a playoff game.
The Seahawks, a franchise which used to be in our division has changed conferences and had a SB appearance.
The Patriots, former laughingstock of the league has become a dynasty team.
The Steelers have been to four SuperBowls and won twice.
The Saints who had never even been to a SuperBowl have been, won, and also won 4 playoff games in the process.
On a personal level, I've had 5 kids, been married twice, and spent over $100k on attorneys.

Probably the down point for me was when the Seahawks and Rams went to the Super Bowl (Rams winning one of two). Talk about a kick in the nuts. And like you mentioned, the freaking Pats. They can luck into a HOF QB and some Super Bowl wins but nope, not us LMAO.

The Jags have won some playoff games, the Panthers as well, and have been to a Super Bowl. Both became franchises in 95 IIRC. The Texans (forming in 02) have won a playoff game as well. Fuck me.

You're right. The Bengals appeared in the SuperBowl in 82 and 89. I lost a decade somewhere along the way.

Honestly, I'd rather have never won a playoff game at all than show up for the SuperBowl to have my QB throw 3 TD passes... to the other team and 5 INT's overall. Isn't 5 TD passes some kind of SB record? The raiders let the hapless Buccs win a SuperBowl. I'm almost certain the 8-8 Chiefs wouldn't have even had it pushed in like that.

Well just to be clear, Michael Jackson is as white as they get now, bobby Brown is legally allowed to hump around, and ace of Base is still cool. Sounds like things are turning around.
