Let all 53 players play and near the of the season have the practice squad players called up it's would reduce injury and concern for head injury

Well, if they want to go to 18 games, they definitely will have to expand game day rosters.

It's going to happen. Within two years all rosters will be 58 active players and allow 53 guys to suit up. Plus there will still be a 5 man practice squad. The trade off on this is teams at the bottom of the waiver wire at the beginning of the year (i.e. the 2013 chiefs) won't have diddly squat to pick from. All the talent will be protected by the 58 player squad.

But have the 53 start now they are already getting paid. Plus less players fatigue and more competivetive games

Hopefully the IR with the designated return being a new rule this year they will have more options in the future to help. You are right though, with the extra caution they are giving concussions and following those rules more careful, they will have plenty of discussion on this I would imagine

Um, where do you get this?

"It's going to happen."

You're taking something that even the insider-ist of NFL insiders can only speculate on, and treating it like it's a fait accompli.

The current back-ups hardly play now anyway. Adding 4th-stringers isn't going to matter.

The 45 man game day roster is set for injuries. It keeps the teams half way fair in regards to the number of players on gameday.

The NFL should require all players to wear knee braces. Only linemen wear them now. If all players wore braces, it'd slow the speed of the players a little which would reduce the velocity of the collisions. It'd also have the added benefit of reducing some knee injuries to the skill position players. If the WR and the CB are both wearing braces, the match up is the same as it was without.
I realize that it won't eliminate concussions, it's just a small rule that would help player longevity.

Why do skill players refuse to wear braces? They all say that it slows them down.
Energy of a collision is increased by 2 things. Weight and velocity. To be able to reduce velocity and therefore energy and do it with a simple equipment rule change would be a no brainer even for the drones. A degree in physics isn't necessary to see the benefit of slowing them all down even if it's sleight.
Today's helmets are much improved over the helmets of past decades. Problem is that the players are much bigger and faster on average. O line are hitting the high 4's in the 40. LB's are the speed of RB's now. Running QB's are on many teams now.

Who said I'm mad? Why a picture of a stupid cat instead of a thoughtful response. - - - - - - - - - - Raiders and the NFL are dead to me. The league is ruining the game. NFL has the same integrity as the WWE.
