Why should they? We are undefeated. The only team I think would have the right would be Mizzou if they beat Auburn. Auburn is not a better football team than we are. Mizzou could be argued to be better.

A resume of defeating #25, #24, #7, #5, and #1 while losing on the road to #6 is more impressive, to me, than defeating #23, #16, and #10 while not losing to anyone.

What I would like to see happen (I realize it's not likely - at all), because the outrage would be beyond hilarious, is to have Duke beat FSU and Mich St beat ohio state. Then you would have Alabama make another All-SEC Champ game while they didn't win the Conference. LMAO

Auburn defeated Washington St. (6-6 won by 7 at home-Not in BCS top 25), Arkansas St. (Don't think I need to say anything here), Mississippi St. (6-6 won by 4 at home-Not in BCS top 25), Ole Miss (7-5 won by 8 at home-not in BCS top 25), Western Carolina (See Arkansas St.), Texas A&M (Won by 4 on the road-24th in BCS-decent win), Florida Atlantic (They are no Georgia Southern), Arkansas (3-9. Dog Shit. Coach is a pig ****er), Tennessee (5-7-not good. Oregon Jail sexed them) Georgia (At home-miracle play-win by 5 against a 8-4 team that is banged up-22nd in BCS). You can't knock the Alabama win. Bama is obviously a great franchise and it took an amazing play for Auburn to beat them. Just pointing out that many of their early quality wins were against teams that didn't end up ranked that high, the AP always props up the SEC early on. My only real issue with Auburn is the only decent (Don't think A&M is that great) team they played on the road, they lost to in 9-3 LSU.

Can't argue with that and DGB is only going to get better. Mauk will fill in nicely when Franklin moves on, watched the kid for years and he's good. It will be interesting to see how things progress with Missouri and A&M over the next few years.

As a whole that may be true, but I can't imagine any fans down south are any more crazy about their team than those in Columbus are. I will say they (the SEC) are set up for success however. They pay their head coaches and assistants (players too) very well and are very close to many of the nations best football players. Florida and Georgia produce a lot of prospects.

Mizzou and a team like FSU is not a good matchup for us on defense. You open up a huge can of worms the minute you claim an undefeated team from a major conference gets jumped by a 1-loss team.

I think it sucks that Ohio State could be in the championship game. Their defense is going to get rocked (their offense is actually really good). But if they beat MSU, it's the fair thing to do. Even if Notre Dame made for a lobsided game, it was the fair thing to do. Putting Bama in the championship game 2 years ago... that shit still drives me crazy.

When you start making an argument that a conference and schedule is so much stronger, it should excuse an extra loss, that shit just doesn't fly. Imagine if in football, homefield advantage wasn't awarded to a team because their schedule was too easy.

We know that LSU was better than Alabama. Why? Because they played similar schedules and then played head-to-head, and LSU won.

In the absence of a playoff game, it's silly to have two teams from the same conference represent in the National Championship game because they already had an apples-to-apples chance to prove who was better, and one came out clearly better than the other. When you compare across conferences, the only basis for comparison you have is pure opinion.

As of Thursday CBS and CNNSI had MU playing Wisconsin in the Cap 1. 2 of the ESPN guys had them in the outback vs. Iowa. The other 3 or 4 that I follow had them in the cotton. I don't think anything is a lock right now.

By the way, I don't think Bama should be a shoo-in even though they are. Their strength of schedule was not strong at all, and they didn't win their conference which I still believe should count for something.

You can't play defense like that in the pros. MSU draws more than a few PI penalties. That's a spot foul in the NFL.
