I did some research, I can't find anything.

It's made in Germany and has the number 1253 on the bottom.

What makes you think it's valuable? My parents had a very similar one when I was a kid.

I wonder what ever happened to it.

Beer steins have value especially if they're old.

Absolutely worthless.

I collect them, and it looks like an Avon. Can you post a picture of the bottom?

Also, Germany sells a TON of worthless ones, they are huge collectors items for tourists there.

Here's a detailed article about beer steins if you're willing to dig into it:

http://www.steincollectors.org/library/articles/Identifying/Old%20or%20New.html

and here's a place that buys them. You could probably get a reasonable idea of value from them:

I don't have an account there anymore so I don't know either. But I've got a ton of Germans that have that similar look that aren't really worth more than 10-20 bucks. Not to say that it isn't worth more or anything, but based on the lid style its pretty common.

This is from an old archived thread without a pic, but it references a 1253 model that's worth (according to the poster) about $20-$40 at most.

That his quote with a replacement lid. Not sure how much a difference would make with an original lid.

Well, you can join this place for $25 if you really want to know. It appears to be about the best catalog out there.

Of course, that may be more than it's even worth...

Its not particularly valuable post a pic of the bottom and I'll give you a better idea. I'd guess as I see from the pic maybe $20.

Somebody is selling it on Facebook and there's no listing offers. Just best offers. Nobody offered anything. Just thinking I can come up if I offer $20 then take it to Rick to wheel and deal.

LMAO that's so often true, but i'm honestly often surprised at how he can rattle off some facts about certain things... how much of that is "reality tv" trickery, had time to research it, i don't know.

But having been in that business for 30+ years, i bet he's pretty knowledgeable about a great many things.

Dude has no life.

Have you watched any episodes where he is in a personal situation? Very awkward. His whole life is that store.

Yeah, when he's not working a deal he's a different guy, out of his comfort zone for sure... he's married right? If so, i bet its a happy marriage because its hard to see him catting around LV doing any damage like my old man lol.

Big Hoss is definitely more hip to things, not as business smart, but definitely hipper.

I've only seen a couple of episodes, but that Chumley guy cracks me up. Is he real, or is that an act?

From interviews I have seen, Rick is a history buff so it doesn't surprise me that he knows a decent amount about the historical items that are brought in. Though I am sure the whole show is staged as to when people bring in things so the staff does get some heads up to do some research.

Wikipedia is their friend. I saw an episode where someone brought in some Harmon Killibrew items. Big Hoss blurted out some stat about HK being 2nd in home runs in MLB until the year 19XX. (I knew it was incorrect right away).

I looked it up and Big Hoss had quoted Wikipedia word for word, except he screwed up and said "Major League Baseball" instead of "American League".

Hmm. Various web sites cite his net worth as ranging from $600,000 http://www.therichest.com/celebnetworth/celeb/austin-chumlee-russell-net-worth/ to $5 million http://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/austin-chumlee-russell-net-worth/. I wonder if they're just counting his gross income or if his net worth is really in that range. Being a celebrity in America is very lucrative, I guess.
