Alrighty, what is your favorite Christmas movies(s). My order...

1. A Christmas Story

2. Home Alone 1 & 2

3. The Grinch (cartoon version)

4. A Christmas Vacation

5. A Nightmare Before Christmas (kinda Halloweenish, but still a Xmas movie to me)

Jim Carreys the Grinch. Fabulous movie.

Anyone else wonder why on ABC's family channel that they put the Harry potters on there?

This old movie where a priest prays for an angel and the angel does a lot of cool stuff that Angels do. The priest gets jealous and tells the angel to go away.

I've never understood why this is considered a Christmas movie.

Yeah, the story takes place during the Christmas holiday, but the plot really has nothing to do with it.

My Favorites:

A Christmas Story
Christmas Vacation
Elf
Scrooged

Bad Santa, Gremlins, Die Hard, Home Alone, The Grinch (the original, not the stupid Carrey version), Black Christmas, Silent Night Deadly Night, Jim Henson's The Christmas Toy, Scrooged, Mickey's Christmas Carol, Batman Returns.

And of course you can't have Christmas without one viewing of this...

Christmas Vacation, but theres really nothing that takes me back to childhood quite like all of those great old claymation movies like Rudolph, Frosty etc.

Theres a magical, timeless quality to those.

Oh but if I had to pick one, it'd actually be Bad Santa. I love it. It's hilarious, it's gross, it's full of cursing, full of scenes of disappointing or cursing children, but in the end it's kinda heartwarming.

I don't think Die Hard qualifies as a Christmas movie. It's just become trendy for people to answer with that. And in that case, I'll say Bad Santa is my favorite Christmas movie. I can watch it every year and still laugh my ass off LMAO

If we're talking more of the traditional sense, I'll go with Christmas Vacation and/or Home Alone. I'm 31 so those are the two that have always been staples for me.

This is a great Christmas movie lol. It's really an underrated horror/thriller gem that gets overlooked. It's one of the very first "slasher flicks" that introduced a lot of things which were then used in much more successful horror movies like Halloween, Friday the 13th, etc. Like showing the killer's point of view.

Die Hard is as much a Christmas movie as Home Alone. Similar plot in reality. Good guy vs bad guys in a building during Christmas.
Bad Santa was great, and here's one not mentioned. "The Ref"

The Ref and Home for the Holidays are my most repeat watched. A Midnight Clear is a great one, but I'm going to need a bluray to watch repeatedly, and I don't think it's out on better than DVD option. I'm picky about visual quality. The DVD was pan and scan too. Blech!

2. Bad Santa
3. Home Alone
4. Elf

Finally got burnt out on A Christmas Story...about 10 yrs ago. Probably would like it more if they didn't run 24 hr marathons on it. JMO. But if it's on...I don't usually complain.

Used to watch Emmitt Otter's Jug Band Christmas as a kid a lot.

Miracle on 34th St and It's a Wonderful Life are just downright boring movies, have never been able to stay awake through any of them.
