View Full Version : Chiefs Knile Davis Sunday projection

This Sunday will be his day to shine or shit the bed. What does he do ?

After last weeks 2 fumbles on 4 touches he knows he better hang on if he wants to ever be trusted again.

Does Reid let our 1st team take one series before turning to 2nds.

I really hope Davis goes Beast mode and we run the ball down San Diegos throats all day and pull out a win to knock them from the playoffs.

Let er rip !

In my mind, his fumbles last week pretty much negated all the progress we've seen out of him the last month or so. Can't play in this league when you give up the ball like he does. Talent be damned.

The ideal would be, Reid gives Bray the start, then he and Davis light up the Chargers defense for the win.

Has Bray been activated in any game this year?

Davis gets 87 yards and a touchdown. Catches 3 for 27. Anything less he will be a bust.

12 carries, 54 yards.

Was checking out Dave Damashek's week 17 predictions. He has this for KC;

CHIEFS 23
CHARGERS 21
K. Davis: 115 yds, TD

I noticed on NFL network they were advising starting him for fantasy league. Thats gotta mean something.

It means the Chargers defense is poo poo.

I would totally let him play this game. It's meaningless and would be good to see what we have.

Don't worry about the fumbles if Mr. Davis makes another promise not to fumble again but mean it this time he should be good.

AP had fumble problems through his first three seasons... hell, he had 9 his second year. Let's pump the breaks on writing off Nile.

I think KC loses by at least 10. San Diego needs this game for any shot at the playoffs, and Chiefs are in pre-season "don't get anybody hurt" mode. Doesn't bode well for us.

At least we aren't starting Croyle like we did in 2010.... Lol.
Call me optimistic, but I say SD is eliminated before kickoff, thus they play flat and lose 26-20.

I agree. The part that makes me reluctant is that the reason he fumbled in college is the same reason he has early fumble trouble as a pro. He has a very lackadaisical way of holding the ball that ensures the fumbles won't stop.

A ball carrier needs to hold the ball high and tight to his body. Watch where Knile was holding the ball on his fumbles.

Winning Powerball would also be ideal. And just as likely to happen.

You are going to judge whether he is a bust based on stats from one meaningless game with our backups playing their starters?

San Diego will know by kickoff if they have to win to make the playoffs. If they have been eliminated, I expect they will play flat and uninspired. The backups for KC should be excited about getting to play. This will be a close game.

What could really light this game on fire is a competition btw Daniel and Bray in this game.

No "Let's lose a meaningless game for better draft postion"? Are you people feeling alright?

Bray should stick on the roster. Daniel is the one the CHiefs need to know about.

I'd love to see Bray get some time. Daniel blows and we already know it.

I could see Knile breaking some screen passes wide open if he can hang into the ball.

True, but compare the number of touches AP had that year to the number of touches Davis has had this year. Not good.

I don't know what the protocol or unwritten rules are, but if Miami and Baltimore lose, it's kind of fucked up for Pittsburgh if the Chiefs 2nd and 3rd teamers are out there. Not sure what you can do about it, just saying I guess it sucks for the Steelers.

Didn't we need the Steelers to lose in week 17 in order for us to make the playoffs in 2005?

I say average day.

70 yards. No TD's. No fumbles.

I guess this depends on how many touches the dude gets too, but considering how Reid runs the offense, he probably won't get too much action.

Keep in mind he's going to have Daniel as the QB, which scares absolutely no one. Davis will probably see 9 man fronts all day.

I think he's got less than 50 yards to break 2000?

Would be cool to see him get 2000, keep his YPC average above 5.0 (that would make 6 seasons in the league, all finished above 5 YPC), and one more TD to make it 20.
