Not with the blowout loss to Georgia at home, but they'd at least be in the Top 20 and looking at a decent bowl game, irregardless of what would happen in the SEC Title Game.

With all Mizzou lost from last year, I said 9-3 would be a best case scenario for this season. 9-3 is pretty much a given at this point, with 10-2 still a real possibility and a potential second straight appearance in the SEC Title Game. That would be unexpected and awesome if that happens!

It's hard to pinpoint because our program lately hasn't revolved around one or two players the way it was back in 2007. This could have been our peak year had DGB returned, but that ship has sailed.

This seems more like a slow build in which we haven't really elevated our ceiling, but our floor is gradually rising. We've reached a point where 7 win seasons are disappointing, and 8 win seasons are kind of meh. Nothing we've done so far seems unsustainable.

The question for me is what happens once Florida, Tennessee, etc. elevate themselves again. There's only, what...35 possible SEC wins per year total in the East...and that's if the East goes undefeated against the West. In a typical year, it's more like 25-28 wins spread across 7 teams. Getting 5, 6, 7...of those wins every year is going to be a hell of a task, and Pinkel deserves even more credit than he has received for what he's done so far.

I think there is a distinct possibility that we dip a bit next year, as I don't think we replace Ray and golden with similar talent. The receivers should be better, but I'm not sure where that talent is either. If boehm leaves, we'll regress there as well.

Certainly possible, but it doesn't seem like we will drop off a cliff from a talent standpoint. We've got players behind Ray and Golden just like we had players behind Sam and Ealy.

I'd be pretty surprised if Boehm left. This hasn't been his best season, and he has a chance to be a high pick next year. That loss would sting, though.

Tennessee is getting a lot of hype this week and their fanbase is very confident, but I don't think they realize how excellent Missouri's DL is. Dobbs is a very mobile QB, but Golden and Ray were key pieces in holding Johnny Manziel - the most dangerous mobile QB in recent memory - in check last year.

Tennessee's OL is not good and is down two starters. I think the Missouri DL makes a big impact (key will be getting push in the middle as well as on the edge, which Brantley/Hoch/Vincent/Augusta can definitely do).

Biggest question remains which Mauk shows up. If he is able to be fairly accurate, like he was against aTm last week, the offense will move the ball and put up some points.

I'll be in person (second trip to Neyland but first as a fan and not a reporter) for the game. Hopefully, it's a good weekend trip...

Dobbs is a very mobile QB, but Golden and Ray were key pieces in holding Johnny Manziel - the most dangerous mobile QB in recent memory - in check last year.

Tennessee's OL is not good and is down two starters. I think the Missouri DL makes a big impact (key will be getting push in the middle as well as on the edge, which Brantley/Hoch/Vincent/Augusta can definitely do).

Biggest question remains which Mauk shows up. If he is able to be fairly accurate, like he was against aTm last week, the offense will move the ball and put up some points.
