Think you'll see it in your life time?

I'm just thankful I got to watch the Chiefs win SB IV because it is possible they might not make it there again in the next 30 or so odd years I have left.

I had a friend that was a die hard Lions fan. He died in his 60's a couple years back not ever getting to see them in a SB.

You've got a good coach now.

I still say you need a game changer QB.

Preferably a pick em apart pocket passer.

I was a fan of Lenny Dawson and Jan Stenerud.

If Ray Guy is in the HOF so should Morten Anderson and Stenerud.

I'm afraid that after all the waiting I'll fail to truly give a $#it about football afterward.

How does any moment measure up after that first one you've waited 30 years for?

That boy could kick.

Plus he's a real character.

He was perfect fit for New Orleans.

He still has a bar there I think.

Wrong again.

That would be Pete Gogolak.

And Stenerud is already in the Pro Football HOF.
You're truly on a roll this morning...

I don't know just look at the Lions and Browns in football. The Cubs in Baseball. The Maple Leafs and Blues in hockey.

Teams can go a lifetimes without making the title game.

No it won't. I used to think it will but not anymore.

I was 7-years-old and watched Super Bowl 4 with my dad and uncle. Both have passed and are spinning in their graves because the Chiefs haven't been back since. LOL! Bet I'll be joining them before the Chiefs even go again, never mind win it. Just too many outside factors control the game today.

Sorry to bring rationale into this but I don't feel this is a question that anybody could answer.

Because there is no telling what could happen? It may or may not happen in our lifetimes.

This kind of stuff crosses the mind of a lot of people with respect to their teams in certain or particular sports, but I don't think its worthy to dwell and wonder over whether or not your team will win a championship in your lifetime. This sort of stuff represents an example of how curiousity kills.

I say just forget about it. Get it out of your system and clear your mind. Why clutter it with such thoughts? We'll all be better off that way by saving ourselves from the unnecessary anxiety. Im choosing to go this route and not worry about this stuff. You and others have their own choices. My post is just simply a recommendation. I hope you don't take it the wrong way. Have a good one:)

I celebrated the first one when I was 9 living in Raytown MO & never in my wildest dreams think I would still be waiting 44 years later for that feeling again. I just know if it ever happens again that I'll really enjoy it so much more than a 9 year old jumping up & down because my hero(Lenny Dawson) was the winner. My brother drove down to the airport(not KCI) to see the team as they got back & we saw the parade the next day. I remember that the station replayed the game that night & we all watched it again. I just want to experience it again....please!

Title game droughts:

MLB
Chicago Cubs: 68 seasons.
Washington Nationals/Montreal Expos: 45 seasons.

NHL
Toronto Maple Leafs: 46 seasons.
St Louis Blues: 42 seasons.

NFL
Detroit Lions: 56 seasons
New York Jets: 45 seasons
Kansas City Chiefs: 44 Seasons
Cleveland Browns: 41 seasons and the only reason they aren't tied with KC is that they weren't a franchise for three seasons.

NBA
Sacramento Kings: 62 seasons
Atlanta Hawks: 52 seasons
Los Angeles Clippiers: 43 seasons
