Does anyone on here paint? I'm looking to match my new Bushwacker fender flares to the color of my 2013 F350 (White) without breaking the bank.

House painters need not apply

I thought about wrapping, or dipping, but I'm not sure they could match the color. It has a hint of pearl to it. I figured with paint at least they could get my color matched.

Yeah - dipping is an option. White is hard though, you're right. Especially pearl.

The info sticker on your truck (The one normally in the drivers door) should tell you a paint code. You can typically take the code to O'Reilly's and they can get you that paint color.

I know a few body shop owners.

But it won't be good quality paint....

If you are looking to get quality, take it to a body shop...they will match your paint and normally have the better quality paints. You might pay a little more, but if you are looking for quality that is the way to go.

all of the flares i ever painted were kinda hard to match perfectly, let alone the pearl in that color. if i remember right you wash those in really hot water with dawn dish washing liquid a few times, no sanding or scuffing to it. it should be done with base coat/ clear coat finish to provide best results, the spray can type wont provide very good results. one more idea is to leave them black or if your truck is 2tone paint them the other color and it will look good too. jus my 2c.

Dipping with pearl is easy.

Dipping with pearl is easy.

The problem with pearl is that if not done right it can show the base color underneath it

Are the flares a smooth or slightly rough surface? If they're smooth they will require some sanding. Assuming they're plastic they''ll spray some adhesion promoter to make sure the primer bonds to the plastic. Depending on what the materials cost + labor. I would think $200-$300 tops.
