There was pretty much zero chance that he was going to win, or even get the court to care enough to hear many details. All he was going to end up doing was waste money on lawyers.

The standard to overturn an arbitrator in a binding arbitration is incredibly high. You basically have to prove that the arbitrator himself was corrupt. Even if the court disagrees with the arbitrator's decision on the facts of the case, and even if a court thinks the arbitrator misinterpreted the wording of the agreement that he was arbitrating, EVEN THAT is not enough to overturn, once you agree to binding arbitration, if you think you got screwed, the courts just don't care. You almost have to prove that an arbitrator was paid off or something like that.
