We're celebrating the beheading by getting so e goo sushi on Friday, then coffee.

The people who scheduled this 'holliday' are fucking assholes. You cannot even get financially recovered from Christmas then they throw this damn shit at you 6 weeks later.

Well being beheaded and then buried in the dark is pretty equivalent to getting married so I see the connection.

luckily, the only thing my wife really wants on Valentines day is a card, and going to dinner. and by 'going to dinner', I don't mean the $100+ variety. We usually get suhi, or Japanese; come home and watch a movie etc.

....thank god.

Easy to spend $100 on sushi ;)

I'm getting whisked away to a place compatible with my favorite hobby. I doubt I eat any chocolates.

this is true. but thankfully, the place we love has 'happy hour' prices 7 days a week on some of our most favorite rolls. :D.

my wife is pretty simple; she's a book worm and loves her Nook so a $20 Barnes and Noble gift card from me makes me look like a swell guy.

dumbest day ever, leave it to you to broadcast a thread about it. You should gif up a heart throbbing or something. Then brag how you're the gif master.

Your wife sounds wonderful. And swap the nook for a kindle and that would be a great vday for me too.

Beer and pizza every year for my lady. This year I'm springing the $3.00 surcharge to upgrade from the 18" to the 20" pepperoni from Johnny Joe's. Should be romantic as ****.

You know lovey, I spend all year being a rock of emotional fortitude. I'm not clingy, I'm not needy. I either roll with or return all punches. The boyfriend would have to be a fool not to feed my softer sides occasionally.

I'll be giving twice the effort for VD as I do for President's Day.

I'm sure you can find a place downtown for little effort.

I'm going to be gone on a business trip, so my wife gets the best Valentine's Day gift ever - an evening with her friends.

That does sound like a great gift for her. Good job.

Hopefully there will be Olympic figure skating on NBC to put her in the mood.

Why Not?

My wife cares 0 about Valentine's Day. It's awesome. We'll go out on Thursday night but our usual monthly date night(2 little kids so it's hard to get out more than that)but we always do that mid month. I'll get her flowers because I'm not a total douche but that's about it.

A Threesome with Mary Jane
$125 per person, 8 p.m. at The Space Gallery (765 Sante Fe Drive in Denver)

Suggesting a threesome is usually the easiest way to ruin a Valentine’s Day. If you’re going to do it, I’d recommend Edible Events Co.’s anthropomorphized “Mary Jane” to preserve your Facebook relationship status. Dubbed as a “BYOC” or Bring Your Own Cannabis party, they won’t actually be supplying your high, but attendees will be encouraged to consume freely. That includes bud and Budweiser, as the open bar and passed apps give everyone a chance to indulge their inner hedonist. While Italian food doesn’t scream “sexy” to me — I’m partial to French classics — organizer Jane West promises shoulder massages in a private space, live nude body painting, and “the sexiest music videos of all time” showing on one of the gallery’s walls. Benny Benassi better get some love.

Just another manufactured day for the suckers. Nobody tells me when to be romantic dammit!
