Simpson is working his way into his hunger strike. First he will eliminate sweets. After a couple of years he will reduce the amounts of refined carbohydrates such as white bread and pasta. He will then cut out fatty cuts of beef. Once he is fully vegan, he will slowly reduce his overall calorie intake over a period of 6-7 years.
