@evansilva: Free agent Josh Freeman to the #Raiders seems inevitable: http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5121/josh-freeman …

CSN Bay Area's Scott Bair predicts free agent Josh Freeman will be the Raiders' starting quarterback in Week 1.

Bair notes that the Raiders were "really interested in (Freeman) during the season." Regardless of how anyone feels about Freeman, this is one of the most logical fits in 2014 free agency.

Raiders OC Greg Olson was Freeman's offensive coordinator and position coach for his first three NFL seasons, and Olson needs a quarterback.

Oakland could conceivably sign Freeman and use the No. 5 overall pick on Blake Bortles, Teddy Bridgewater, or Johnny Manziel. Feb 12 - 10:39 AM

I would say this is probably the only team Freeman has a chance of playing well for.

Freeman was only halfway decent in Tampa when Oakland's current OC was coaching him.

This has been a rumor for a long time now. Seems like the opposite of the kind of attitude Reggie wants in the locker room, though.

The Raiders should stick with Mcgloin!

To many other holes in the roster to fill.

Why Not?
02-20-2014, 02:46 AM
Well, that woukd give us 2 wins even before the schedule is out.

He could be a good QB with the Raiders if they upgrade our line (and they will)

I predict
pick 5 Sammy Watkins
a F/A center To move Wiz to guard
and another DE probably a F/A
and another corner in the draft.

Hopefully a real TE that can block

There needs to be a list compiled of all the QBs CP has crowned & lamented. That the Chiefs did not draft them. Only to make fun of the same QB some 2-3 years latter.

A few of us said when he left Tampa, that he would be a Raida before it's all said and done. I'm not at all surprised at this nor by the fact that they have a knack for picking up QB's that can't play.

Pot meet Kettle

Freeman would be a helluva lot better choice than Matt Cassell ... But Hey, even Cassell could be a decent qb behind a good line.

Don't get too excited, This guy has been saying Freeman would be a Raider since he was released by Tampa...

One thing is for sure, they won't go into the season next year without a veteran QB.

I think when it's all said and done, McGloin will be the qb here, they averaged like 24 pts a game when he was qb

To the bolded. No chance. I am believing more and more now with the changes in Cleveland, he is going to be a brown.

Also, you guys could be the team that is looking at Alex Mack. Cal Berkeley guy, would be a great fit to your offense.

Freeman is from Grandview. I think Reggie's trying to get rid of trashy people, not bring more in.

Poor Josh. Even Brady Quinn beat out Cassel for a starting postion.
