"The projected salary cap for the 2014 NFL season had been $126 million, but now is expected to rise a full five percent from last year, making it $130 million, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter."

This would give us a little under 7 million as it stands right now.

Why? Is it because Denver needs the extra money to sign Decker?

You know what? It means that the Chiefs can certainly do that. It also means that they really can get just about any player they target.

We really only NEED one thing, a free safety. We can't fill that need in the draft like we can at other positions.

It won't be enough to get the Chiefs a playoff win

Funny thing is that we won't need it to get 2 wins over the faiders.

Yea but again we aren't rewarded with the easiest schedule in the NFL for being one of the worst teams like this other team I know of... But we wouldn't be handed false promises of being a team that could win in the playoffs either..

A couple restructures and we'll have plenty of room to work with. Well over $10mil.

Probably because the panty raiders are in a division where they were the only team not to make the playoffs and since they are still in that division they have to play each team twice. They should try getting into a division where the panty raiders are, guaranteed 2 wins.

Good old Al is rolling in his grave..

"Just WIN BABY" - More than 4 games a season - PLEASE!

By the way my Forrest Gump Raida friend, the schedule was the SAME. The Chiefs ended up being easier because they play the Raiders... TWICE. LOL!

With the cuts, Restructures, and Walks we're about to have happen, on top of this significant cap increase, I fully expect and Demand the Chiefs to get exceptionally active in Free Agency this year, just like last year.
