By 4pm if they're unable to trade him prior to deadline.

Just saw it on wire report.

Interested?

http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/11/6arenaja.jpg

That's just a tiny screen cap of a bunch of Twitter chatter and other sources.

For the record, yeah, I'd love to have the guy if we had Cap room like, say, Oakland, but it's a pipedream otherwise.

Wonder if he ends up in NE- which was looking at him and figured it was worth a few extra bucks to avoid Talib's off field possible issues creeping back up potentially.

I'd almost like Talib more if you got him at a bargain, but I figure someone will still pay him a hefty salary out there for his services, so again, not likely.

And no, not interested in any high priced FA

Interesting... I wonder if we could trade them Flowers for a 2nd and a 5th or something similar? It's not a strong CB class. Flowers doesn't seem to fit what Dorsey wants and he is a great cover 2 CB. Lovie will be running that cover 2. We signed three big CBs last year and Cooper looks ready to go. This could be a way to generate cap room and gain some picks. Flowers doesn't seem to fit Dorsey's mold and he didn't work out in the slot.

Smokescreen. Info planted by a GM that is either interested in Revis or is in the NFC South. Pioli is probably behind this "report".

There's no way they CANT trade him. No way they release him.

Not really, they didn't use him right. He didn't look 100% but he was still pretty damn good. I don't know why you would pay him all that money and trade a first round pick for him and then not use him man coverage all the time?

Salary, and New coaches probably want to free up cap On more guys because of his cost?

Revis has familiarity with Sutton....dont rule this out. And IF we could somehow land Revis he would make our defense MUCH better!!! Hell we could move Flowers to Free Safety

He's still a beast. He's on a 6 yr $96 mil deal though. Although none of it is guaranteed, that's still a hefty amount to shell out if he plays.

New coach and new system. Them's the breaks..

He didnt have a 16 million dollar year so he can be gotten cheaper maybe....and i think coming off ACL surgery he wasn't fully healed yet....this guy is a phenom IF he can be back at 100%. Sutton knows him well so I'm sure he will be looked at

This. Especially when he's about to be released, they can sign him on their own terms for a lot cheaper if they wait until Wednesday (if they really are planning on releasing him).

BOTH former Jets stud CB's are available now.....I wonder how Sutton feels about that? Cromartie can probably be grabbed a bit cheaper than Revis

with no ACL surgery recovery concerns....in fact we could probably get Cromartie, Sproles and Jason Avant for the cost of Revis

... For about a quarter of the production and 14 times more kids.

No thanks.

I'd certainly bet that Lovie Smith would release Revis. He needs the 16 million in cap space more than he needs Revis.

Would be so lol if the Jets signed him and got a 1+4 for a one year rental.

I guess that's debatable. I agree; I'd never pay a CB $16 mil per year but if any CB ever was worth that kind of deal, it'd be a guy like Revis or Sherman.

Those two guys literally shut down an entire 1/3 of the field.

I think its pretty good. Plenty of zone corners, and a handful of press

They're saying the Browns are interested. It would be very, very hard to pass on them with Revis and Haden.

They'd still find a way to suck though..

Isn't it if you trade for him-it out you're picking up his contract.

What a bizarre contract. Why would he agree to a contract with no signing bonus? If you sign him, you pick up his contract which means you are probably guaranteeing his 16 million in year 1. But you have no obligation to keep him after this year. Bizarre. But a huge win for a team looking for a 1 or 2 year fix.

Plus the Browns are rumored as the landing spot for Donte Whitner. That secondary would be scary good.

Do you guys honestly think signing all of these defenders is going to make Cleveland a contender? Their defense was pretty damn good last season.

Their problem has always been the QB... Maybe they believe in Hoyer.

It's a champagne. Rappers drink it.

this type a party gettin naughty and crazy, yo
pop the top off a bottle of Deviot
pour it on her, I don't sweat it, I got plenty mo."

i dont know why its so hard to be a QB on the Browns when all you have to do is get it to Josh Gordon and he does the rest.

They don't really have the threat of a running game and apparently the right side of their offensive line wasn't very good at pass blocking at times. Plus they're in a relatively hard-nosed division.
