Because we missed out on Two-Screws Sanders, who Pittsburgh didn't even give a shit about resigning, and Demps, who was absolutely miserable outside of being a kick returner?

Remember, Demps was burned just as bad as Kendrick Lewis was in that playoff game. Trust in Toub to make Kniles Davis a fantastic kickoff return guy.

Demps was right there with Lewis in the Colts game. Good riddance.

Why would the Chiefs not resign Demps?
Wow, he is an amazing kick returner -
I don't get it. Although, I am pissed that the Giants let Linval Joseph walk ... huge mistake on their part.

Is Toub working for you guys, too?
Why Not?

Another JAG the Chiefs didn't re-sign that for some reason certain people are bummed about.

he's more of an in the box safety and has some coverage limitations. The best part of his game is as a KR he doesn't dance around and hits the hole hard. He has no fear as a returner and that played great with Dave Toub having the KR bring out damn near any kick that wasn't headed out of the back of the endzone. He will be pretty decent depth if you have plenty of speed at Free Safety and don't ask him to play there

Who is Toub, SNR?
If Toub works with player personnel, fear not since we have our own dysfunctional football operations.
Are you sure, the Giants signed Demps? I don't see any news about it...

Thanks, booger. Giants are in a rebuilding mode. They need everything. A few years of awful drafts and horrible FA pickups puts you behind the eight-ball.
It will take two years to fix this team.
Just my opinion.

NY Giants sign former Chiefs safety Quintin Demps
The 28-year-old safety will join his fourth NFL team, likely playing behind incumbent starters Antrel Rolle and Will Hill.

Toub is pretty much the best special teams coach in the NFL.

Who cares?
This guy was terrible at safety and its not like Taub won't get someone like Davis or the RB/ST guy we signed a month ago (can't remember his name, but he was a RB at USC and played for the Jets) to fill his returner role.

I do too. In fact, he may contribute on offense with Davis rehabbing his knee. I really don't think the Jets had any clue on how to use him. I remember him being pretty adept at catching the ball out of the backfield at USC...

The only reason I care is because we are losing depth at the safety position and filling it with nothing... Assuming Kendrick is gone, we only have one SS and FS. The holes on our team are getting worrisome at this point.

Haha
Demps was a terrible safety for us.
Terrible.
There are at least 15 safeties from this draft class that can step in and be better than he was from day 1.
There are also at least 10 safeties in FA right now that are better defenders.
The guy was a good fit at returner, but was almost as bad as Lewis at safety.

We have about 2-3 picks that will actually get us something of value and a really shitty cap situation.
We need: A starting caliber RG, competition for Stephenson at LT, WR, a KR/PR, two Safeties, a CB, and more depth at pretty much ever position besides QB... I'm still worried.

I'm not worried at all.
This is the best and deepest draft in my lifetime and is deep at the positions we have needs at.
That's a double bonus because it not only means we should be able to get some quality players in the draft, but it also means a lot of aging vets will be late cuts and that helps teams lik us that might need 2-3 stopgap quality players after the draft is said and done.

We need more then one, we also need wr's and we need Dline help as well. Lets not forget we may need some depth at Oline, WE are picking late in the first and late in the 3rd. We are going to be having late round guys in there at this point.
Chiefs have done pretty much next to nothing in free agency. I can see where the worry is coming from. Lets not forget we had a decent wide receiver shit all over the Chiefs. Thats pretty embarrassing. Then agian, nothing can be more embarrassing then that epic play off collapse

The holes on our team are getting worrisome at this point. This was my first thought. It's not that I wanted him to be starting at safety, but he was decent depth that also was a good ST player. I liked that his returns were consistently positive. He didn't dance around looking for a homerun only to strike out.
