With the weather being nice outside it's time to do some patio drinking. What's your favorite mixed drink?

The sazerac is my current favorite cocktail, but it isn't a "drink on the patio" type drink. For that, I'd go with the moscow or kentucky mule. I confess that I'm pretty lazy at home, and I rarely get more complicated than bourbon and ice.

Mrs. FMB!'s cocktail of the moment is a Allen squirrel.

2 oz. vodka
3/4 oz. grenadine
Top martini glass with orange juice

I keep calling it a rusty squirrel (no idea why), so now I need to the rusty squirrel recipe... I think it's going something like this:

1 1/2 ounces Scotch
3/4 ounce Drambuie
Top lowball glass with OJ

I don't know why anyone would waste good scotch by using it in a mixer. Not really familiar with Drambuie or how it would act with the oj and scotch but the idea of oj and scotch together doesn't sound appealing at all.

A rusty nail is scotch, Drambuie, and a lemon twist. I just took a rusty nail and combined it with an Allen squirrel. And yes, sounds gross.

I like a great Bloody Mary just like the next guy. But when I'm in the mood for a sweet drink, it's a Colorado Bulldog for me.

When I want a frozen drink, there is nothing better than a Bushwacker. I got a hankering for one of those over the holidays last year and it cost me about $150 to buy all the ingredients but it was well worth it. It's basically a $15 drink, which is why you don't see them made correctly very often stateside but they're spectacular where liquor is more affordable, like the caribbean.

usually the bitters are pretty easy to find. 'usually'.
*nevermind; Reaper covered it*

first time I had one was at a place here locally in Westport called Firefly. they have tons of different whiskies ( i think that's their specialty). I got a flight of different whiskies and had the bartender make me something. She asked if I had heard of an Old Fashioned; I said no. She said if I didn't like it she'd make me something else.

It was outstanding. It was more of an uppidty place that I normally wouldn't go to, but I was witha group celebrating one of their birthdays and that's where they wanted to go after dinner.
