Yea, but I bet the Texans dont take him. I bet they go Clowney and if they go QB it will be Bortles. If I were drafting, it would be Manziel.

We should have a poll where you predict what pick he's drafted at. Including middle first, late first, early second, middle second, late second... etc

He'll be drafted #4 Cleveland . No poll needed.

historically Mayock has been a good scout of defensive backs. Has he been a good scout of QBs?

Everyone thought Vick was going to blow up the NFL and radically change the game, too. Since Vick came into the league, only one true scrambling QB has won a SB...

And yet he will bust in the NFL. There has been 1 QB that has been successful in the last couple of decades that was 6' tall. I don't know of any that have been successful that were under 6' like Manziel.

Dude is a stud. Been nails since playing at the college level. Idk how you can ignore the fact that he is a very clutch player that elevated his team. The only knock is his height. Until he proves otherwise you have to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. In the spotlight he got caught partying it up. Who didn't in college?

He made the most of his scrambling ability in college. He probably won't have that much time to get rid of the ball in the NFL but he will also be surrounded by faster talent on his side of the ball as well. Therefore (all things being relative) it should be be a wash and his game should transfer well.

We'll see. At this point he has been nothing but successful.

There have been about a billion “clutch” college QBs that have done absolutely zero in the NFL (especially the undersized ones)

Not saying he is or isn't a stud, just that he hasn't played in the NFL yet. He's a short guy with a small frame that will either translate well to the NFL or not. Nobody knows right now How it will turn out.

Lots of red flags, not just the character and maturity questions but also the general risks inherent with drafting a sophomore quarterback who spent his two years in a spread offense. Maybe he'll be the exception to the rules. Maybe he won't.
