The rules:

In Round 1, I'm going to put up three randomly selected scenes from the nomination thread.

You'll vote for your ONE favorite scene among the three. The key here is FAVORITE. We're not talking about the 'best' or 'most powerful' or 'most meaningful'. We're talking about the scene that you most enjoy watching, however you define that.

The winners will move on. I'll also take the 10 highest-scoring second-place scenes and they'll advance as wild cards.

Some of our nominations did not include clips. This will be noted. If you find a clip, please post it and let me know so I can update it if it moves on.

My votes in a rather fun heat.

#1 - Close Encounters of the Third Kind. The scariest part is around 4:10 when they show the guy with the huge neck and no chin. Overall, this is a very engaging scene and explains well why this nation needs a strategic tuba brigade.

#2 - Trinity is Still My Name. The dubbing is terrible, but the scene itself is pretty funny. I'm not into westerns, but this one caught me by surprise. And may I presume that he shot the two innocent bystanders at about 1:05?

#3 - Yellowbeard. I nominated this scene because I like Yellowbeard's creative thought process, but I'll recognize when I'm outmatched. This is better than a #3 scene, but not in this heat.

I want to hear why none of the scenes in Heat 105 appealed to you. There was such a variety that it's hard to imagine people disliking all of them. We had three folks who went with 'none of the above', though, so I guess you're not alone.

Those Trinity movies were awsome at the time.

I loved those trinty movies as a kid
watched one and hated it
will not watch anymore,
because my memories are better than the movies
