Seems like schools are getting targeted more and more.

At least the suspect used something other than a gun so we don't have to hear that shtick this time around.

My wife is a teacher a small school, and even there she sees all kinds of crazy shit. It doesn't matter how locked down and secure the building is, these problems start at the home and need to be fixed there instead.

Graham said the attacker, whom he did not identify, had been a victim of bullying.

"My point is this could’ve been avoided," Graham said, adding that his daughter had been assaulted at the school. "That's my personal opinion.”

No...it couldn't have. The whole "no bullying" campaign is a nice gesture....but you're never going to get rid of bullying. It's not going away. All you can do is teach kids how to deal with it.

True. A lot of victims of bullying are going to at least fantasize about getting a bloody revenge. The thing is, you're not supposed to act on those fantasies lol.

I was bullied a LOT when I was going through school. I was overweight and because my Dad was in the Air Force....I didn't have the long friendships that everyone had growing up in the area. When I was young, probably around 11-12, I wrote down a list of the people who bullied me all of the time and how I wanted to hurt them. My parents found it and sat down and talked with me about how that wasn't the way to react to it. They enrolled me in karate....which led to meeting the friends I hung out with the most.

20 kids stabbed by one person? Were the kids running towards him? How did he get 20 with a knife, he's good.

Oh come on now...maybe this can be Michelle Obama's next pet project now that she's solved the child obesity epidemic with her new school lunch program. She can have her husband pass some laws and regulations that will complicate things immensely for both the schools and parents and really show no net gain but hey it will make her feel good!

Wouldn't this be the prevention part? Teaching kids how to deal with it so they don't go on stabbing sprees?

If you're prevention is strictly that. This whole "kumbaya....please no bullying" shit doesn't do anything.

Maybe we should put all these horny teachers to work giving BJ's to the bullied kids giving them some tress relief therapy and satisfying their own need to have sex with teens.

Used to live just outside Murrysville, where this took place. Now we live about 20 miles north. The son of one of my closest co-workers is a Murrysville Policeman.

Franklin Regional is where the children from fairly monied families go to school. Rumors are that the boy who did this was bullied. He could very well have been killed during this attack, and 7 of his 20 victims are listed as having "life threatening injuries."

Additionally, my wife is the director of student services at a local PA distance learning school. One of the student advisors, who happens to also be a National Guardsman, was accidentally shot in the stomach this weekend at a public gun range. She was in/out surgery until Monday night when they stopped the bleeding. In the meantime, some people went to her Facebook page and wrote about her as if she had died (she "was" this and that), which is just stupid, but some also made highly inappropriate statements about her. These are statements that her family is seeing.

It seems we have a loss of responsibility and accountability for our actions.

if there's one positive of the assailant having a knife...he's less likely to off himself, and the a better chance he'll fuck around a catch an ass beating.

Although I don't have kids, I imagine I'd be fine with it.

"How'd today go son?"
"Great dad!"
"Bang your teacher today?"
"You bet dad!"
"Atta boy son!"
