View Full Version : Poop Is a Good Singing Voice in a Woman a Turn-on?

'Hamas' Jenkins

It's obvious that women value it in men (hence, rock cretins and their supermodel wives), but I never thought a woman's voice could make a difference in a level of her attractiveness.

As an example: To me, Katy Perry would be less attractive if she had the voice of an opera singer but a chest two cup sizes smaller.

I thought this was standard operating procedure for most guys--maybe it is, perhaps it's not--I hadn't put a ton of thought into it.

And then I heard Kristen Bell sing.

Although I always found her cuteiful, she climbed to near the Portman echelon of hotness for me after hearing her voice.

What about you? Does voice increase hotness, or is it a non-factor?

Strange question. For me, not really. It's a talent. I'd be more attracted to a great athlete, than a singer.

I've never shared this before, probably because it's boring.

Many years ago when I was a corporate drone, I had a female coworker who was a very professional and buttoned-down woman. We were good friends and at some point I was sitting working on some stuff and she came in with a birthday gift for me. She sang happy birthday as she brought it.

It was quite the shock because this buttoned-down and businesslike woman (who I should note was attractive) had a gorgeous and feminine singing voice, and I'd never seen that side of her. I must admit that it was quite a perception changer. Fortunately, she never sang to me again so my marriage remained intact.

No, it's not a turn on for me.

A huge, huge turn off for me would be if a girl has a horrible singing voice, yet is blissfully unaware of it and insists on singing all the time. Back when I was single and would date a girl like this, I'd have the most difficult time not breaking down and being all like, "stop singing! You sound like some dipshit who is choking on a duckbilled motherfucking platypus!" However, I wasn't ever able to force myself to be that mean, so I just dealt with it or turned up the volume on the TV or my car stereo or whatever. I think it's the lack of self-awareness with that that drives me nuts.

I dated this girl who tried like whoa to get me into Ray Lamontangue. Her attempts were unsuccessful for while she would play this guy's stuff for me, she would sing over him...and she SUCKED ASS... And she did this to basically every song from any artist that she played for me. She was so bad, she ruined some songs for me. And I sure as shit won't even give Ray Lamontangue a chance now.

Still remember the firs time I heard Kelly Clarkson on Idol. It was just in passing as I was leaving my fathers house and they had it on. Was walking out and came back in. I think it was week 4 and I called her the winner right then and there.

The problem with her is that she doesn't use her voice like she did then. She went too pop and not enough soul.

Talent is always sexy.

Of course I'm a rare man who doesn't define a woman's attractiveness entirely by her appearance. Yeah, it's a factor because I'm not dating a swamp monster... but a girl who can sing? Hell yeah. A girl who can dance, paint... hell, even if she's a bad ass martial artist.

I think talent and skill make women sexier for sure.

Big turn on.
My Fiancée has a fantastic voice. She is in a couple bands. One is a old time Quartet, a-la Andrew Sisters. They sing at Honor Flights and Service Homecomings etc. They are pretty cool.
The other band is a Rock Band that plays covers, so I can take it or leave it, but her voice is awesome.
But my favorite is when she sings on Saturday mornings when she makes me coffee or sings silly songs to her Grandkids.

My wife doesn't sing but she has a beautiful soothing voice. A buddy at work one time took a message and tastefully commented she could make a killing on a phone sex line.

I don't like singing in general, but I suppose a good singing voice would be immeasurably better than a poor one if I'm forced to hear it.

keg you worry me sometimes. You often seem down the last few years, let me know if you'd ever like to talk off of the record.

Okay? & to be clear I don't mean that with any disrespect what so ever.

I don't think....

It's obvious that women value it in men (hence, rock cretins and their supermodel wives)

rockers necessarily have good voices. They can just write appealing songs that work with their voice.

I totally thought of this thread the other weekend. I was out celebrating Boulevard's 25th anniversary. It was early, like 5pm, and I saw this fairly average chick on stage playing guitar and singing some Lilith Fair shit and I wanted to plow so hard. I was the only one paying attention to her and we shared a look as she was in full ex-lover song.

I checked out her merch table to get her name...tristen gaspadarek. Like I said, nothing great, but damn I wanted to tongue swab that anus at the time she was playing that guitar.

I dont care what a woman looks like, in a darkened room, with a slight or better buzz... even the weirdest looking girl is Heaven.

Had this exact scenario maybe two months ago... not a dream body, not someone you're gonna take home to mom... but mercy me, she's gonna give you all she's got for a week or two.

Is pounding some beers and turning the light out kinda necessary? Yes... but once you get into it her little ass might as well be Paris Hilton and its time for a damn good rodgering.

I just feel like my rep might be stained by this post... I never lied about or candyassed my intentions towards this particular girl or any other girl.

Went slumming for the purpose of getting laid, got some and it was good... my cheap intentions worked... in spite of her past she was clean as a whistle... but yeah, I had O intentions of going beyond some drunken bar/fishing trips.

While she wasnt my physical ideal, I considered dating her for real until she told me... that she stole her way across America as a stripper for 3 years, partially funded by stealing purses at HOSPITALS. Like holy shit, she did THAT and do I even want her in my place? Stole from people already in a terrible situation?

I'm a horndog, but not nearly that bad off... stopped calling her the day after she told me that.

Why do I dispense this kind of detail in my life? guess I just dont care what you think, its more of a warning than anything else.

If I could give ANY bit of advice that everyone here MUST obey, its this... if you married your high school sweetheart or anything even close to it... hang on to that like it was pure gold.

It takes soooo much to develop that kind of long term love, time thats much harder to come by as we become older... good Lord do I miss the married life.

All of that concentrated love right there in one household and all you gotta do is just hang onto it... you 20 somethings tired of your gal you've had for 5 years? Better think again mon frere, because the older you get, the harder it is to build up that kind of love.

That shit that started when you were kids? its pure, it MEANS something.

And when you're 80 you'll look back and think, "Damn, why didn't I just bang that chick"

I had a thread-tailored dating experience last year with a very average girl who could kill anything you threw at her song-wise. She was a 30 year old brunette who face wise was maybe a 7 on her best day, however she lost the genetic lottery in the body department bad. She was one of those girls who would run marathons but was still probably a size ten, huge boobs and build in general with major bonuses in the gunt and momass departments. Just naturally screwed from birth, no kids or anything. Anyway, I hung out with this girl at the dog park and did a couple breakfasts after and she was all about it. I loved hanging with her and was trying to see if the attraction would change and then I hung out with her friends and she killed it on some xbox karoake type game. She later sent me a recording of the main song from The Little Mermaid she did which makes the hair stand up on my arms everytime I listen to it. I've played it for a shitload of friends and the girls I know will ask me to play it. It's unbelievable and the main reason I made an attempt to stick it out. However, I only kissed her twice out of probably 10 hangs and there was no way I could work around it.

tl:dr I find it to be an intoxicating talent in a woman, but it can't overpower momass.

That's pretty much the closest to my take on the issue.

The most attractive thing about women as gender is the myriad manners and ways they can be attractive. Life's like a box a chok-lits.

funny boners, ditzy boners, booby boners, cute laugh boners, pouty boners, talent boners, etc., etc., they all redirect my bloodflow in a pleasant manner.

Definite yes for me. For a woman with physical beauty, the singing voice is a multiplier.

Huge penchant for doing and saying things that are irritating to the point of near homicide.

Yet, she can manage to be very charming and personable as well when she wants to.

She was on the last season of Lisa Kudrow's Showtime sitcom Web Therapy playing the worst, most ridiculous, version of herself and was hilarious.

Do you dig Pentatonix? They're a virtuosic a capella group that blows me away. A lot of singing talent, but they're also superb at blending and matching each other dead on.

This group's good, but it doesn't quite make me stunned like some others. For the number of singers they have in that group, they could do some ridiculously incredible things, but what I hear is something that sounds like it could be done with 5 or 6 voices.

They're solid performers, though. Nice repertoire choice, too.

And again - it's hitting me esp. close to home - considering they're doing a virtual 'The Prodigy' playlist - I know the sharp turns that group fires off, electronically. I know how hard that must be to do that w/ voices and hands and things. That lady w/ her yelp is badass - they even sample in what The Prodigy had sampled (again) electronically.
