It's called a Goblin shark and only 10 people have ever seen one alive. This one was caught in the Gulf of Mexico in April. It was photographed and released. Kind of scary looking.

Sharks are very mysterious - we don't know much about them - considering the data captured.

Seriously, the estimates on undiscovered deep water species are as high as possibly double the amount of known and classified in the world presently. Bound to be some seriously odd and freaky shit out there. I, for one, just assume not knowing if I'm planning on going in the ocean, which will be in a couple weeks for vacation.

I don't believe a planned sequel has been killed per se- just not being rushed into production by the studio at this point.

Wade, I've seen just about enough of that guy... don't get me wrong, I flat out LOVED that show the first couple of years, but we all knew he was eventually going to run out of new creatures to go after.

He hit the wall last year, this season is really just a rehash of previous outings, its pretty boring... "this year I'll be going after yet more bigass catfish and I'll be throwing in even more nonsense filler about the supposed deaths they've caused".

Between this show and "Treehouse Masters" I'm about ready to stay away from Animal Planet for awhile, they keep showing these two programs over and over and over.

Well he did try going after the Lock Ness monster last Sunday... It is about the only show I watch on animal planet. Better than watching deathtime (Lifetime) or primetime tv.

Heres why I'm pissed at this guy... last weeks episode was LAST seasons finale.

I remember seeing the tv guide saying "new-Loch Ness" and I thought he must've made it a two parter, maybe he found something interesting... nope, just last years show passed off as a new episode.

All of the freshwater monsters have been caught, Jeremy... you can go home now.

In my experience, fish are pretty tough animals. They survive a lot and still live. I have very limited experience with sharks but the one I've encountered on a fishing boat took a hell of a beating and still swam off like it was nothing.

I’m guessing that snout is filled with sensors and nerves that help it hunt in the deepest of the deep seas where there is no light.

I think it's because it looked like another POS Transformers movie in the trailers. I have since heard that it was actually a great movie, good story, good characters. Someone even called it the Episode IV for this generation. Those are big words, but they make me want to see the movie.

Problem is convincing the wife...or finding some time by myself to check it out.
