Someone at work bet me $50 that the Dolphins will finish with a better record than the Chiefs.

Easy money.

Even with all the crap the Phins went through last year (which included losing two starting offensive linemen), they still finished 8-8.

I have a $50 bet that Oakland won't make the playoffs. The guy I'm betting isnt even a Raiders fan either.

Plus, I hear they'll have a pretty good starting left tackle this year.

I'd $3it my pants if we did better than 7-9 with our schedule.

I doubt Denver manages better than 11-5...

I don't feel we lost too much. I doubt we'll see the play offs though.

Wow.

I have both projected at 7-9...

Why Not?
05-19-2014, 03:39 PM
Dolphins hardly have a cake schedule and aren't world beaters themselves. As a matter of fact I will get in on that action. I say the Chiefs finish at least with the same record as Miami.

I've got a 100 on the Chiefs being better than the Raiders with my buddy.
If we tie in record, its a push.

Trying to figure out what I should spend it on.

7 and 9 would be an epic ****ing failure with this team

We need Abdullah or Commings to step up and perform in the role of single high safety, an ILB that doesn't get abused in coverage, a rotating player to take reps from Poe, and 4 O-Lineman to step up.

That's a lot of things that need to happen.

We'll be lucky to win 7 games.

Oh, and I didn't even mention TEs or WRs.

I never bet on anything. No matter how sure the bet is, I would lose. If I were to bet the Chiefs would win at least one game this season, I would probably doom them to a winless season. Thats how betting goes for me.

Last year we didn't beat a single playoff team and denver swept us. Does anyone really think that by only the draft we had as new additions we'll beat a single one of these:

Donks?
Pats?
49'ers?
Seahawks?

That's 1/4th our schedule and that's the 4 best teams in the league last year. We're not winning those games.

Chargers, Jets, Rams, and Cardinals games I wouldn't give us better than 50/50 odds on either...

I never bet on anything either; ever since:

once while on detachment to Nellis AFB near Vegas, we were all in our hotel rooms pounding beers, and two guys made a bet. one guy who was 100% sure of his side of the bet that if he were to lose his part of the bet, he'd get his pecker pierced that night.

the other guy had run naked outside a place of the others' choosing (can't recall what it was).
I can't remember what the actual bet is, but piercing guy lost (something where the odds were astronomical that he wouldn't lose). lol. but, he manned up and we all pileed into a cab and went to somewhere near, or on, the strip. I'm not ghey, but I had to watch.

Needle in through the pee hole, and out through the bottom.
The thing that sucked is, we had bought all these different six packs to take to the room, and when we got back all we had left (we probably pounded a 12 pack on the dive down) was this novelty 'Chile Beer' that was spicy. Dude drank a few of those then had to pee. he peed out the blood clot and out came the chile beer followed by a scream.

ahhh. I miss the Navy some times LMAO

That is true.

People like to discredit that win because they think Vick was bad but he had a pretty tough stretch with @SD, KC, and @DEN in consecutive weeks.

When Foles took over they didn't play anybody worth a shit until Arizona and they only won that game because of some questionable calls late in the game. They got slaughtered by the Cowboys, only managing 3 points on the worst defense in Boys' history, and lucked out in facing a Scott Tolzien-led Packers team. Honestly, they even lucked out against the Cowboys in week 17. Orton was putting in work on that ass until he Romo'd it at the end.
