Catching Mewtwo in Pokemon SoulSilver

Ok, I have tried EVERY type of pokeball (except master ball, I used it on Lugia) out there and Mewtwo still rejects every pokeball I throw at it even when it is confused and has little to no health remaining (red zone). Is there some kind of technique that I missed out on or a special pokeball I'm supposed to use? He's the last legendary I need to catch before challenging Red.

The catch rate is really low, so you need to be lucky even if you have it in the red. Dusk balls would be good, as Reaper said. Try putting it to sleep as well, or at least paralyzing it - both of those increase the catch rate without the risk of unwanted damage (like burning, poison and confusion have).
