Apparently, this Pittsburg, Texas country store and cafe is all the rage in the Rainbow Community. He's not small Earl, or medium Earl, he's BIG Earl! Story from Dallas CBS outlet:

Also, check out their Yelp review page. Priceless:

Sounds like it's owned and operated by shitty human beings.

It's 2014, segregation is not okay. I hope they change or close their doors.

I thought gays were a tolerant people? Guess they're not tolerant of the right to refuse service.

Do I think it fair? No.
Do they have the right to refuse service to anyone? Yes.

Not sure why anyone would go out to eat in Pittsburgh and go anywhere but the hot link restaurant.

It all goes back to the "we're tolerant as long as you share our views" thing

Exactly. Preach tolerance. Practice, fuck everyone who's not me.

Race is a protected class and its a civil rights violation to refuse service for that reason.

Soon, when sexuality is a protected class, it will also be illegal.

The protected class designation violates the first amendment right of free association.

Yawn.

I'm not gay.

In fact, the reason I care so much is because my first friend, and roomie, down here in Austin- when I knew no one down here- was a lesbian. In the year we lived together, my entire frame of mind and preconceived notions flew out the window.

I want her and people like her to be treated with respect and equality. That's all.

I respect them I work with several homosexuals. Some I like some I don't. Several of them hate a gay guy I graduated with because he votes conservative. Practice acceptance if you preach it. It drives me nuts.

Understandable.

Does the conservative guy support keeping them as second class citizens, or support candidates that do? If so, it's understandable why they may not like him too much.

Obviously not all republicans/conservatives are bigots, so they shouldn't be prejudiced against him simply based on his political affiliation. I'm with you on that.

That I don't know. I try not to pry into other peoples argument. But I was thinking. Why doesn't earl build a booming gay bar then just sell out. It's a win win.
