@HerbieTeope: Fascinating must-read article on the NFL’s Super Bowl demands, all 153 pages worth, as detailed by the Star-Tribune: http://t.co/Py99QBgwRQ

Don't get hung up on the document if you just want a summary.

Just like the Olympics, hosting a Super Bowl is probably a net loss for the host city.

I doubt that or these cities would not be lining up at a chance to host a Super Bowl.

Doubt it. The facilities are used after the superbowl. Olympic facilities aren't.

Yea true.....Olympic facilities are mostly a gigantic waste after the Olympics end.

It will never happen, but they should just choose a city to always have it in. Then just use the facilities over and over again.

I plan to release a Request For Proposals soon for my upcoming vacation. If you cities want my vacation dollars, I want to see something coming back my way.

NFL cities must not think these demands are too outrageous, considering how many line up for the chance every few years.

Politicians and special interests don't care. Its not *their* money that they are spending after all.

Meh, if they can get it...why not? If you're a city trying to pull of one of the biggest events of the year, you better be able to meet some extravagant demands.

Bowling is listed before "Strippers and Blow Parties".

I call bullshit.

I'm going to need more than that. Let's start with free Pibb Extra and/or Dr. Pepper.

I guess I just assumed that that was table stakes. If you don't know to provide those, you're not even getting the invitation to bid.

Having enough strippers and blow parties is just assumed.

It's like not needing to list the requirement of having a football and playing field.
