Yeah, but day 1 or 2 is always about chopping wood for the shelter. Well, while you're at it, chop a couple of spears, tips for traps, some trap poles and maybe something to use for a bow.

As Tomahawk stated, some of these people get off easy... like the two from a few weeks ago on an island with a huge inland freshwater lake and the ocean for food a few miles away and it pretty much never rained.

Not much as far as I can tell. I'm sure they get something but mostly for pride I guess.
It seems like quite a few say they teach survival training as some kind of career so they would be able to market it - "I was on Naked and Afraid."
