Peyton Manning exposed Bob Suttons defense with short crossing routes and every other team copied. Until Sutton can make an adjustment, every defender on the field is going to suck.

The Texans were the first team to do that shit. It worked, but they just lacked the personnel to generate a win out of it. Jason Campbell and Jeff Tuel only followed the same game plan.
The Broncos were the first team real firepower to legitimately destroy the defense. Once that happened, we were screwed six ways to Sunday.

I still think you have to drop someone from rushing back into the pattern. For instance, give the opponents the look where you know they are going to run a crossing route from their right to their left. Cover it, and rush it as always... except... drop Divito (or Hali) into that open space where the quick pass is headed before the QB can read him there.

I am hoping that most of these are precautionary measures, not that the guy was in need of the cart. Commings or whatever his name is, I heard on the news this is his fourth injury this year and second of training camp, so if he is that blasted fragile, then he wouldn't have lasted long anyway. Free agent cast offs and stragglers out there can't be much worse than what was on the field last season, so... that is one tiny little nugget of hope, isn't it?

So in 4th grade we had a project in class where each student would send a stuffed animal to a celebrity of their choice in the hopes that the celebrity would send something back in return (be it an autographed picture or any type of PR junk). I forget what the name of the project was but supposedly other schools from around the country were doing it.
One of my buddies sent his to Shaquille O'Neal. Shaq (or Shaq's PR team) sent him a box full of shit. Autographed cards, a poster, some other stuff. It was impressive. A girl in my class sent hers to Oprah and got a bunch of stuff back.
I sent mine to rookie runningback Greg Hill.............................
I figured here's a rookie RB with probably not a lot of fans yet. He'd appreciate something like this and I'll get an autographed card (printed autograph from Chiefs PR at least) or something. I didn't expect much or really care.
Weeks went by and nothing. Months went by and nothing. I believe everyone else in class received something in return from either the figure themselves or their PR department.
So to sum up. FUCK GREG HILL. YOU OWE ME A STUFFED FROG AND ONE HELL OF AN APOLOGY.

Apparently.....fucking dickhead. I want to say that I was like 10 or 11. Obviously Saved by the Bell was huge back then. I knew I should have written a letter to Kelly like I wanted too. Pages might have been stuck together though.

I should also point out that I was in a large class. Most of the other kids sent theirs to the big name Chiefs players like DT, Marcus Allen, etc. Even as a 10 year old I had the decency to consider a young rookie's feelings. I thought "Gee all these big name guys get all kinds of love from kids and fans. I bet this rookie who is in a new city would appreciate a little love." And how did he repay me? By making me the only fucker in class who didn't get anything in return. Which made me stick out and then people started asking me "Why did you send yours to Greg Hill?" GOOD QUESTION FUCKFACES.

And the reason I bring up Pellom McDaniels is because we were at KCI one day when the Chiefs were leaving for Miami. I met a lot of the players there and Pellom was by far the nicest guy.
