JFC I feel bad for them.

It is like watching a repeat of Fat Scott's reign of "Patriots Way" terror that was inflicted upon One Arrowhead Drive.

It is the same "Patriots Way" bullshit all over again… get the "right 53 players" and you can magically win with the likes of Ryan Fitzpatrick, Matt Cassel, Tim Tebow, Kyle Orton, etc. as your QB.

"The Patriots Way"= The Ebola virus of the NFL that destroys franchises that don't have Tom Brady as their QB.

Thoughts and prayers to Houston Texans fans.

Because they have Matt Ryan and a GM who has been able to break free from his "Patriots Way" roots.

Although bringing Fat Scott into the mix could change that.

Watching the game with friends last night, all I could think of was THANK GOD the Chiefs MOVED PAST the "Patriot Way" BS. The game went EXACTLY as I thought, complete with many "Crennel WTF IS GOING ON?" looks. All my friends were pissed and said that I had warned them. LMAO. The have no idea what they're in store for. Best bet would be for Bob McNair to BLOW THE WHOLE THING UP after the season and start over.

It does when most every individual battle was lost. When your #1's get trashed by their #2's and 3's, there usually is a problem that will carry over into the season. The Texans could not even compete.

The Packers didn't play Rodgers, Lacy or Jordy Nelson. Their second stringers still outplayed the Titans starters. Jake Locker played the entire first half and looked awful. Lockers stats: 1/2 - 5 Yards - 0 TD 0 INT 56.2 QB Rating. It was pouring down rain for most of the game and both teams struggled with ball security.

Even though it was preseason… they looked totally non-competitive which was a preview of how the Chiefs would fare to start the regular season that year.

I can understand people shitting on Asamoah, but Jackson? He just turned 28, meaning that the 5 years Atlanta gave him should equal his prime. An elite run stuffer who although is nonexistent as a pass rusher, will open that possibility up for the linebackers. 25 million dollars over 5 years with only 11 million guaranteed isn't "breaking the bank".

Matt Cassel was an undrafted qb who never started a game in college.

He also made not one, but TWO pro bowls with two different teams.

From an undrafted guy who did far more than Tyson Jackson ever did as the third overall pick, that is just ridiculous that you included him.

Except that Tyson Jackson absolutely is an elite run stopper. It's his inability to rush the passer that made him expendable. If he would have been drafted in the 4th round, many Chiefs fans would be in agreement. Unfortunately, getting drafted 3rd overall in the worst draft class in NFL history can sometimes cloud judgment on how good he truly is.

In today's NFL, an elite run stuffer with almost non-existent pass rush is only slightly more useful than a $20 hooker at a Las Vegas porn convention.

I think you're undervaluing a $20 hooker. Esp in Vegas, where you can lose everything you own. A $20 hooker can be the difference between I lost everything I own, and I lost everything I own, BUT.... I got a blow job!!

So far as in the first two preseason games or so far in his career? He did have an INT in the 2nd game on Friday (which Jones should have caught anyway), but he also led the team down the field on a drive than ended in a touchdown. That being said, I think McGloin & Carr have a better chance at winning games for the Raiders.

I doubt it. Did u see the game? It was 16-7 in the 4th so it was a lot closer than the score indicates. (A blocked punt for a TD and several TJ Yates picks later, one being a pick 6, turned the game ugly late) Early on the Falcons played it very vanilla with the players that did play. Ryan did see a good bit of action but Atlanta had been in Houston most of the week for organized practices and got game-like work in, so many players didnt play (Like JJ Watt, Foster, Johnson for Hou) and / or got limited game time. Fitz was Fitz and did extend drives on broken plays (and stupid illegal contact penalties) but should have been picked off several times. This one is exactly the type of game that gives fans false hope. Believe me, it could have easily gone the other way, but the Texans did look better than last week. Hard not to...

On a side note, Kendrick Lewis played well...Clowney looks to be the real deal.

That's exactly the plan. They love Mariota. Im betting they'll be in the running to get him regardless of a week 2 preseason route of a 4-12 team of a year ago. The Texans are not good.

I saw the game. You created a story in week 1, and now you're minimizing week 2 in order to keep the story alive.

It's preseason. Game 3 is the only one that matters at all, in terms of worrying about your team, and even that one is only minimally useful. These games are about getting the vets a little bit of work and seeing which rookies seem most likely to be able to play in the league.

That's it. Reading the tea leaves about the regular season is a fool's game, as the Bills demonstrated repeatedly in the '90s.
