Ok I am gonna get hammered but who cares. Eric Berry is pulling off some magical shit the money he is getting vs what we are getting in return. He is a good player no doubt but is he the best safety in the NFL? Because he is being payed like it. Byrd was nearly every bit as good and Buffalo unloaded him due to money he demanded.

Not as bad as Sackledge. By far the most harmful pick for the franchise ever... although Fisher could eclipse that if he IS Jozwiak.

Deberg is actually another guy who some Chiefs fans see as some kind of legend because he could play action fake. Like so many other retreads, he was just good enough to lose.

He was solid for a couple of years. Different era then. He most certainly wouldn't cut it in today's game.

The best years of DeBerg's life he was constantly being replaced by first round talent. He played his best for KC. He was in SF, Montana showed up. He went to Denver, Elway shows up. He went to Tampa. Steve Young shows up. Went to KC, Montana again. He was 30-21-1 as a starter in KC. That's not bad considering how awful the team was before his arrival.

Kendrell Bell though, was probably the most overhyped FA we ever signed. I remember this place was jacking it hard to his signing. We thought we got a premium pass rusher for nothing.
He had 2.5 sacks in 28 starts and got replaced by 34-year old Donnie Edwards.

Oh he had a horrendous game I believe on a Monday night against Pittsburgh. After being torched repeatedly in that game Marty and Carl both said Stan was very tentative and in the NFL that's a very bad thing for a corner. Next day reading in the paper he was cut.
He was bad but I always figured something must have happened in the lockeroom. He was getting a lot of playing time then cut.

I dont know about this board but others I was on had a big Tyler Thigpen fan base. They though he was the shit and got a raw deal. Well he is still playing so I guess its not a stretch to say he was a bonafied NFL backup.

Warren Moon torched "Laura" Petry at Arrowhead in the 1990s for around 500 yards passing in one game when he was with the Oilers. It's also the last time the Chiefs took the north end of the field during a home game, so they could be in the sun on a cold day. They've never flipped over to that side ever again. The karma was bad.
