When Stephenson is back in week 5, this is the same offense except with Fisher, Fulton, and DAT starting in place of other guys. Fisher wasn't a problem today and DAT could be a wash for McCluster. And while I'm not an Andy Reid fan, he's also the best coach this team has had in a very long time. Lots of young guys who may get better.

1a. The Hunts continue to own the team

They'll pull a few lucky victories out of their ass to fuck their draft position, just like they did in 2011. Clark is too much of a fucking devout coward to just eat the money owed Smith, so they'll keep him around and draft a goddamned middle linebacker with the 11th pick.

I love how Stephenson is gonna save the line. LMAO

He's as bad as any of them on a bad day.

Stephenson is much better at RT than Allen who is a disaster
Allen is much better than McGlynn at LG who is a disaster

You are upgrading two parts of your line by a lot and you basically field almost the same line as we had last year. If Fisher plays Stephenson level at LT (which isn't a high bar) then it's basically the same offensive line we had the second half of last year minus Schwartz.

And no, I am not saying this saves the line. This could bring our line from bad to last year's "passable" where our offense was actually pretty good the second half of last year.

Allen is not a good Guard but he's miles better than McGlynn based on what we saw today. Again, the argument isn't how good our line is. Right now, it's when Allen gets put back at LG and Stephenson heads back to RT, how much different is our offense this year vs. last year?

Hammock Parties

I know he is not a good guard. Again, the statement is that if Fisher plays on the same level as Stephenson did at left tackle and DAT is a good replacement for mccluster, then this offense is basically the same talent wise on offense except for at right guard.

Jeff Allen was bad last year too. But the offense wasn't a dumpster fire the second half of last year.

even when we were up 3-0...I knew we had no chance.

And I also was thinking to myself, "good lord...this team is boring."

I mean, Charles is great and all but it's inevitable that he's getting hurt this year. Once he goes down, who is exciting to watch?

Alex Smith is the exact opposite of exciting to watch. He may be the most boring QB in NFL history.

Eric Berry? When we start 0-6, aren't we just gonna shut that guy down?

awesome?

This wasn't a terribly good move

We had a very good LT already...

Now we are in a no win situation, lose him for a ham sammy and a bro job

or overpay for him to begrudgingly move

or have our #1 pick play RT

etc

I really do not see yet how this was a great use of our #1 overall once in a lifetime pick.....

Unless Albert has worse physical problems than they are saying or Fisher is like a no-questions-asked top 3 LT then I really don't get it...

I swear man...

the only reason I kept watching was out of tradition

I have literally never missed a game since I was 5. I was bored out of my mind. I have no emotional investment in the 2014 Chiefs.

I feel like I have battered wife syndrome after that playoff loss.

Alex Smith plays boring fucking football. Our defense is boring and vanilla and we have a bunch of guys in the secondary who had to literally be plucked up off the street...

our OL sucks ass

Frankie Hammond is like the worst receiver I've ever seen.

Shit. At least play Kelce every snap and give me something to cheer for.

I think my favorite player in today's game was McCluster.

OL wasn't that bad today actually. Smith just took too long to throw the fucking ball

I can't even tell...I'd have to see if any of our shit receivers were even remotely open.

His footwork in the pocket makes me cringe...he looks so uncomfortable it's pathetic.

Smith is going to be dead to me a lot sooner than I thought he would be, I think. I watched too much good QB play today to be confused by whatever the fuck Smith was doing out there today.

y.

I can't WAIT for All 22.

I'm taking a road trip Tuesday and I'll have some downtime while my host is at work.

Perfect excuse to fire up the All 22.

There's no agenda here. I just know what Alex Smith is: a waste of everyone's time.

Slowly, but surely, you'll get it. Today was step one.

Feels good, eh?

After watching that game, you guys think Smith was your problem? Really?

Strange... I kinda thought you all would be really happy. Smith threw down field into tight coverage - that's what you all have been clammoring for for months.

I might drop a 50 on denver.

If tenessee wins by 12 at arrowhead, their should be at least a 17.5 spread at denver

He's not the only problem but I never wanted him before the trade and every game I see him play only further enforces that.

He is not a championship QB. So what's the fucking point?

Oh, the point is to go to the TGI Fridays of the NFL and order some fucking boneless buffalo wings. And a side order of checkdowns. Give them wings, Alex! There'll be a $45 million tip for you at the end of the meal.

I started at 5-11 then downgraded to 4-12 after the preseason games and signing Alex to that horrendous contract.

After losing Devito and DJ - I think we will be lucky to go 3-13. This team is bad, poor coaching, simplistic play calling, no heart, no effort, no talent and a tough schedule ahead.

I could give you 10 million.

Bowe can be a pro bowl caliber wr, Avery is a solid number 2, Kelce has shown some promise and JC is the best all-around running back in the NFL.

He has enough to succeed.

Bowe can be a pro bowl caliber WR, but he has to want to be. Last year, after he got paid, he didn't. Admitted he came last year out of shape, showed up this year in shape, but missed first game for... well, you know.

Avery is a solid #2. Agreed. He's not a runny #2, but a solid stinky #2 that splashes your ass when it hits the water.

Kelce has shown promise - agreed.

JC is the best all-around running back in the NFL. Agreed... but the best all around running back in the NFL just averaged 2.7 yards per carry. Smith had more rushing yards than Charles rushing and passing yards combined.

The point. It doesn't matter what you have at the skill positions, if your line is as bad as the Chiefs line is right now. No QB, no RB, no WR can overcome if you are getting completely dominated in the trenches.

I can't believe anyone thinks Avery can be a solid #2 WR. He's a solid #2, but not a WR.
