With the losses in FA, (McCluster, Schwartz, Jackson, Albert etc) in addition to losing the lions share of games this year we will have a shit ton of draft pics.

1st - (Top 3)
2nd
3rd
3rd(C) - Albert
4th
4th (C) - Asamoah
5th
5th(C) - McCluster
6th
6th (C) - Schwartz/Jackson
7th

potentially 11 new players for next year - maybe more - then there would be no excuse for Dorsey/Reid to not have the whole team be "their guys"

There's always an excuse.

1) Dorsey can't draft to save his life, so this is pointless.
2) Everyone knew this already.
3) Why on earth do you care about what amounts to be a plaything for a rich boy who never had to work a day in his life? This team isn't realistically doing anything of substance for at least 3 years.

Historically picks in the 4th as beyond are near worthless, so I'm looking at 1, 2, and an extra 3. Big whoop

Yep, tons of draft picks and if you happen to suck this year, you pick very high in the draft order.

That crafty Dorsey. What a shark. He knows what he is doing. Suck for a year and draft way near the front of the order. What a sly devil!

Tell that to Ryan Succop and Tom Brady

The Royals were 20 games below .500 all through September in 2011. So no.

Picks in the 4th and beyond are like lottery tickets. Your chance of winning is much higher if you have more of them. They're usually pretty cheap too.

4 through 7 is a perfect range to be looking for sleeper RBs, and it's not a bad spot to look for Guards, Centers, Right tackles, ILBs, nickel corners, and TEs. Might even rope in a WR, CB, or lineman if you're really lucky. In many cases, you should be able to pull backups.

This is a really good haul. Assuming Dorsey has any idea what to do with these picks. So far, he hasn't proven his picks are any good.

Well, it's a goddamned good thing that we got ours with the 1st overall!

ILB, CB, WR, FS, and O-Line

Could potentially knock all of it out with that draft... potentially.

Even with all those picks you might hit on 4 players at the most that can be good starters. Plus it takes time for rookies to get up to speed and learn how to be a pro, techniques, more weight, film study...
Shit ...this is depressing...

Pay Houston and draft a damn playmaker for the offense. If we pick top 3 it better a fugging QB. Alex is not young and his deal is really for only 2 years. If Dorsey fuggs this draft up then he will be finished real fast. We need 3 homeruns out of this shit or Andy has no shot.

They just extended Smith and managed to keep Bray/Murray.

We aren't drafting a QB for the next two years.

Best to get this out of the way week 1. No sense dragging this on past Halloween and whatnot.

Acceptance...it's the answer.

Joe Montana was one pick away from being a 4th rounder

Priest Holmes went UNDRAFTED

Steve Largent, Andre Reed, Chris Carter, Shannon Sharpe and Richard Dent to name some HOF'ers in that list...

We took Shane Bannan because Pioli had yet to find his own Bravest Little Honkey. People were starting to think he wasn't Belichick at all.
