I turned on NFL Network tonight expecting to get the same old stories about the Cowboys, 49ers, Steelers, or Patriots, and to my great surprise they were showing the "America's Game" episode that highlighted the Chiefs' Super Bowl win. The interviewees were Len Dawson, Jim Lynch, and Willie Lanier, and it was a pleasure to watch. I only saw the last 25 minutes or so, but it really struck home about how many stars that team had.

There's absolutely no rhyme or reason to how it happens, but KC keeps it close to all of our confusion. I'm thinking the Week 1 Chiefs/Ravens from a few years back (Todd Haley's first game).

I think the game stays competitive for a half, maybe deep into the 3rd quarter, but eventually Manning shows up with a pair of TD drives and Smith can't keep up.
