I don't think the Chiefs give up 40 points. The Chiefs really haven't given up many big plays this year other than that one against Denver. Yeah, they're allowing more completions and teams are running the ball easier, but I guess it's give and take? I think we lose this game because our offense will do next to nothing and Brady will do enough to win as he usually does.

Patriots have no offensive consistency or philosophy. McDaniels sucks, Gronk is not Gronk, so all KC has to do is double Edelman and keep an eye on Vereen for the screen pass. Pats D is underperforming (the Vikings game was a Cassell-fueled aberration). Add in that KC is a tough place to play, and there's no reason the Chiefs shouldn't win this game.

Im getting shifts changed at work to see this one.

We make Brady eat shit in front of the Sea of Red. That line hasn't looked anything like it did with the loss of Logan Mankins in the offseason. I haven't seen a line affected this badly by the loss of just one guy since Willie Roaf's absence destroyed our offense for a few games under Vermiel.

The Patriots are not the same offensively. Christ, they barely beat the Raiders, and they got smoked by the Dolphins. The one win they have came against Shat Cassel and the hapless Vikings without AP.

Look for our defensive front to have a big night against that Patriots O-Line. Poe has the best game of his career Monday night, Brady has liquid feces running down into his shoes.

Yeah..I kind of like the 3 TE sets..with a bigger back. KC had its longest drive in like 20 years against Denver...I think this works with Smith's skill set.

I hope they stick with it...it seems to be clicking.

Well, it works because of several reasons:

1. WRs behind Bowe and Avery would, at best, just be special team players on any roster that has a solid WR core or simply inactive. They are that bad.

2. Our TEs can all block decently well.

3. Two of our TEs, Kelce and Harris, have legitimate 4.6 and 4.5 speed, respectively; they can get down field in a hurry and are a miss-match for anyone due to their size and athletic ability. Fasano is a savvy vet who can find holes in zones. They are more of a threat than our WRs are in the passing game.

Our 3 TE set presents a lot more of a problem for defenses than our spread formations with multiple WRs. Even if teams try to scheme against it, there are very few, if any, defenders who are big, fast, and strong enough to run with either Kelce or Harris down the field. We would be seeing a lot more downfield patterns with our TEs if our OL could consistently hold long enough for Alex to complete a 5-7 step drop.

Total yards per game -- 4th worst (even with the best turnover differential in the NFL, which gives the offense more chances to GET yards)

POints per game -- 6th worst (even with best turnover differential in the NFL)

QB completion percentage -- 3rd worst

20+ yard plays -- worst in the NFL

Patriots have a very strong defense with a coach who knows how to scheme and put his players in the best position to succeed. Ryan Harris is going to see a lot of Chandler Jones. They can put pretty much anyone up against our guards and they'll win the battle as long as Hudson isn't blocking them. Guarantee you that Smith is going to see a lot of A-gap pressure, especially if we have to run a play from the goal line because both guards are terrible at blocking anything consistently.
