Royals fans appreciate the effort, but the name of the team is the Kansas City Royals, not Royal.

It should be "The Royals Lounge."

If we're going to win this game, everything has got to be perfect. We can't overlook the small details.
I'm just glad I caught this before the game started. Please fix and just hope the damage hasn't already been done.

The Royals are a collection of "Royal" players, or a Royal family. The king would wear a Royal crown, and the family would gather in a Royal lounge...Royal describing the lounge as a place for Kings, Queens, and the family.

The word Chief does not carry the same sort of meaning. Your comparison is wrong. Give it up.

No, that's wrong. People refer to the only real royal family (the British) as "royals" when they are describing them as a group of individuals. So, the same is applicable to this baseball team made of individuals.
