Why in the flying fuck wouldn't we bring in Matt Prater? That was a shocking release to me, and I cannot believe we are willing to keep going with this rookie in light of last year's first team all-pro who just set the all time record last year with a 63 yarder?.....? I need to be walked through this one, doesn't add up to me.

I would've definitely started a new thread to voice my displeasure over this.

May as well ride with Santos at this point.

Most people don't look past the first page.. Hell I bet most don't look past the first several threads for info...

I rarely go past the first 7-8 threads and if ever look on page 2...

If your thread isn't at the top of page one, its irrelevant.

Why? The perfect time to sign an all-pro is fresh off of a cut, he won't have leverage to ask for much money and he will be pissed off about being cut...oh and he's only about....800 to 9000 times better than that little Spaniard.

Search bar, Prater. Easily done. I don't mind new threads when it contains new information. The super threads get hard to scroll through to get passed all of the Alex Smith and Andy Reid whining. This kind of shit though, could've gone in there. That said, shit, if it hits 100 replies, who gives a shit?

Did he kick the 63 harder in Mile High?

The exact initial question that came to my mind when I read it. Dome kicker...

I'll stick with Santos. I find it much more exciting watching him kick because I don't know how it's going to end.

a) He's only a career 81% kicker.

b) The Lions just cut their 2nd K of the year.... he's likely to land there.

It is nice knowing that he finally learned we don't get extra points by hitting the goal posts.`

How dare you suggest they cut Fez?!!!!

Did you not see how excited he was when he made a FG that didn't hit a crossbar?

Prater is a career 81% kicker with a previous drug suspension.

Why anybody would want him is beyond me.

Because he's still better than the shitty kicker we have who can't kick a 50 yarder to save his life.

We got rid of Succop because of money, so I don't see any chance that the front office would be willing to pay even more to Prater.

Better than bad does not equal good.

But it does equal better than a steaming pile of crap who makes you cringe any time he attempts a FG of any length.

Right up to the point where we have to bring Santos back because Prater is suspended again, or hurt.

He's not football material right now.

Several other kickers available right now who would be better as well.

Yep. Time for Dorsey to admit his mistake and cut this clown instead of making a bigger one by keeping him.

He shanked a 30 yarder. You would trust him at 50+?

In all honesty, with Santos as the kicker, I hope to God that Reid goes for it on 4th down every time that we're within the opponents' 40 yard line. Screw punting, you're not guaranteed to lock them down within the 10 yard line every time, and our defense would likely give up a 1st anyways, so the field position wouldn't matter too much. You might as well go 4 downs, especially if it's 4th and short.

Why anyone thinks they would replace Santos after cutting his predecessor is beyond reason.

The math gives you a better chance to win every game if you do.
