So, the lady and I went out to a store, and we were looking around at bed sheets to upgrade on the old ones we currently have.

We see a few 300 count threads, couple of 500 count threads and a few 800 and 1,000 count threads.

We also found one that is satin sheet, and man, oh man, that baby is soft as hell.

What's your preference? Type?

Sleep is super important so I'll never make fun of a man for trying get the best bed setup he can.

With that said, I don't even know what the fuck you're talking about.

More than 400 count is too hot. Might be soft but doesn't let heat out.

I loves me some silk sheets. Not satin. SILK.

However, they do not breath too well so I will switch that up. But silk pillow cases all the way. All day. All night. And bitches love them.

Dude...

Sleep is super important, so you can't blame a brother for trying get the best bed setup.

Plus would you be comfortable sleeping on a bed sheet that feels like you're sleeping on a cactus?

I'm an insomniac, so I don't have to worry about such things.

and when I'm finally able to get some fsleep, I"m so fucking tired, I could be laying on sheets made of glass and still fall asleep.

I don't see any need for thread counts over 300. I do prefer percale only though. I don't like satin.

Opinions are like bed sheets. You only change them them when it gets you laid.

There are few things as simply sexy as clean fresh naked bodies on crisp white sheets.

Otherwise too high a thread count and its just TOO soft. I'm not a fan of satin either. Never slept on silk sheets but had a few silk robes and those things were annoying.

Flannel sheets always make me think of dirty college guys. So with great affection, no thanks.

How many pillows are on the bed?

Pillows kept getting added to my bed, and at one point we had seven - two regular pillows and five decorative pillows. At that point I suggested that we probably didn't need that many, but then I realized that I had made a huge mistake.

I get up later than my wife, so I make the bed. While it took more time to put the decorative pillows back on it, it was a great creative outlet to put them in a different pattern every day. Some days they'd all be on her side, some days they'd be on the corners with one in the middle, some days they'd be stacked in the middle like one of those big stones on 2001:A Space Odyssey, and so on. I kind of miss it now that she's cut down to a smaller number of pillows.

I would ask Trevor Rosenthal. He shits the bed every night, so surely he knows what can handle a thorough washing and still hold up.

We went to bed bath and beyond when we got married and spent respectable money on 400 TC sheets. IIRC it was a thread on here that guided our decision.

They wore out pretty quickly and my wife just bought some fairly cheap sateen sheets at JCPenny that were probably 1/4 the money. They lasted longer and were more comfortable. When they wore out we tried to get the same sheets again, and these ones suck.

I've used flannel and unless it's in the 50s in the house they cook my ass.

I've always wanted to try those sheex performance sheets but never bucked up the cash.

Bottom line I'm of no value here other than there is a sheets thread on this site somewhere.

I stay at around 500-600 count Wamsutta sheets because the few times I had higher count, they seemed to stain much easier. Anything lower and they feel stiff to me like a bad motel.

Silk sheets don't impress me.
