Here's why.....former Journey frontman Steve Perry is a huge Giants fan and has lead the crowd in singing both "Lights" and "Don't Stop Believin" during NLCS.

He has traveled with the team in 2010.

Just wonder if the Royals will still play the song if he's there?

I'd be totally stoked!

I think they should play it, but play a live cut with Perry's replacement singing it.

I hate that they play it. That's their thing and I don't like copying. Next we'll be playing Sweet Caroline.

Good point. The White Sox used it on their run a few years ago.

Considering our current perceived lack of sportsmanship I would ride that pony to "Fuck you" by Ceelo Green

Yes they will. No, they won't do anything dumb like dub over someone else's voice. Yes, we will continue to say "born and raised to beat detroit"

Almost no one knew, and no one cares that the singer is a Giants fan.

He got all pissy about it when the Dodgers played the song a few years back and demanded that they stop.

Well, the Dodgers were their bitter rivals. It would be like the Yankees playing Sweet Caroline if Neil Diamond was a crazy rabid Red Sox fan.

Not everyone is into shitty 80's pop either.
