The Kansas City Royals swept the Baltimore Orioles Wednesday night, four games to a big fat zero, to become 2014 American League Champions. What a great time to take a close look at that Royals baseball cap. Can any MLB franchise really top it? This Kansas City team, which may or may not have existed before that Lorde song, sports beautiful royal-blue hats with simple "KC" white lettering stitched to the dome. The bottom leg of the "K" effortlessly fades into the middle curve of the "C." In lieu of some awful regional mammal, the Royals opt to honor the city in which they play (really two cities, since there is "KCK" and "KCMO." Look it up. It's essential bandwagon knowledge).

Royals caps are nice. So are the home white jerseys. I don't know if the hats are the best. Theirs, the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers and Pirates are all nice.
Of course if you wear most of those others people just assume you're a chode.

Yes, they do have one of the nicest and most distinctive hats.

When I first came to Texas, most of the people I knew called me KC because I always wore a Royals cap and you could see it from a mile away. hmmm, I never sat down to judge the primary cap logos before. Just off the top of my head and thinking through other teams, I believe KC should be on anyone's top-10 list unless they don't like the classic look and are more into busy logos or grinning/angry things.

I think they have potential to look alright... I just don't think it's been pulled off much yet...but for whatever reason, I think the potential is there for the Chiefs to have a cool cap... I think some cool things can be done with that arrowhead.

Although I hated their fans and we just swept them and had to hate them for a period of time. I do like pinwheel hats and I am happy that they went back to the more classic logo they had.

Probably not a popular choice around here with alot of "Old school" folks but I'm a huge fan of Miami Marlin's uniforms and hats. They'd have to be the 2nd team in MLB that I root for to do good and could sport some of their attire when I'm not wearing a Royals shirt. and I'm a huge Jose Fernandez fan.
