A prop plane reportedly hit a building at an airport in Wichita, Kansas, officials said.

Emergency crews are on the scene at Mid-Continent Airport, according to local ABC affiliate KAKE.

A federal official has confirmed that the incident is not related to terrorism and the plane was headed to Mena, Arizona.

There have been no reports of how many people are possibly in danger in the situation, but smoke coming from the building has been seen from miles away.

The plane involved in the crash was a twin-engine Beechcraft that was taking off but lost power in one engine, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Heard it was taking off full of fuel and the engine came off sending it nose first into the building. Heard there are four dead and they haven't made it to the plane. That was a little bit ago.

It was a Rose Aviation airplane. Killed 3 inside the building.

I got texts back from my friends and old students that fly King Airs in Kansas. They are all okay.

On a strange side note, I have taken many of planes down to Mena to get painted. One of the more notable flights I broke 260kts ground speed in an A36 over Tulsa.
