Hey guys, just asking for a quick prayer for my son... He is a Sr at CCS in Norman
OK. Reports I am hearing from the sideline is he tore his ACL in his left leg tonight.

This was his second to last game with the playoffs on the line... This means no
soccer and pretty much ends his Sr year of sports....

Doesnt matter if we see eye to eye on things... Its tough watching a kids college
dreams go up in smoke...

Any prayers would be appreciated...

Thanks,
Reerun and Family...

Man, that absolutely blows. Sorry he has to go through such a crappy injury. I'm sure that you'll help him get his legs back though and he'll be a stronger person for having gone through this adversity.

If he has real dedication and dreams to play college ball, he can do it. It's just going to be tougher for him than it is for other kids and he's going to have to walk on somewhere.

I'm so sorry to hear that man..keep your head up..encourage him to work hard to get back..ACL repair has come a long way..if he does the proper rehab he should be good to go and might be able to walk on to a community college and then work his way to a 4 year school with a scholarship

I will be thinking about you and your son

If you have good insurance you can get the Doctor that fixed Jamaal Charles. If you have Obamascare you're up the creek.

That sucks indeed just keep things in perspective. As far as bad things that can happen this is more of an "aw shit" then an "oh fuck"!

Best of luck to him.

Update on Reerun_KC Jr...

MRI showed that the ACL is completely torn, but the lateral meniscus is only sprained... Over all it was the best of the worst news we could of asked for. Recovery time will be drastically reduced now that the Lat men isn't torn.

So the plan is to go ahead and have the surgery on Nov 12th instead of bracing it and waiting until after soccer season. Working hard on trying to make it back for the end of soccer season. Play club soccer this summer and try and find a college to walk on for soccer in 2016...

Not the idea situation we could of asked for, but he is a great kid and has a great future in front of him...

Well, as you stated, that sounds like the best outcome considering the situation. Hope the kid has a quick recovery.

Good luck to your son. Guess the good news is that academic scholarships aren't affected by sports ball injuries and grades are more important in the long run anyway.

Well that's good then that his meniscus is ok. I had the patellar tendon graft done on my right knee. Good times...not really.

Tell him I have a reasonably sharp pocketknife and a Dewalt drill with some deck screws and I can work him in before the 12th.

:D.

You know wife and I are thinking about him.

The support and calls from the Buehler family has been awesome...

I mentioned this to Cody and he said that you are not allowed to touch young boys andymore according to your court documents....
