I'm still sitting here surprised as hell we came out of there w/ a win.

There were about 6 things that happened that allowed us to win that game.

1. BUF fumbled while running for a TD into the endzone, results in KC ball at the 20.
2. False start on BUF Oline (the flinch call). Resulting in 4th and 6, BUF has to punt.
3. BUF fumble on the punt return, KC recovers and gets the ball back.
4. Orton missed on about 3 TD passes. Resulting in FG's instead of 6pts.
5. Charles 40yd TD run on 4th and 1.
6. Alex Smith hustles one into the endzone diving head first for the go ahead TD. Not all NFL QB's could have done that and gotten away w/ it.

This was one of those games were the ball finally bounced our way. BUF couldn't capitalize on our lack of scoring or really being able to get anything going on offense and it allowed us to stay in the game. We got a couple bounces our way and were able to manufacture and grind out a couple scores and then the defense held their own when it was crucial.

That was the best DLine the Chiefs will see all season. But it's also important they get better on the Oline and passing game. This Martyball/taking care of the ball/TOP ball control offense is great, and it goes great w/ a good defense, which we have. But you have to score points on the board. Travis Kelce needs to be on the field 85-90% of the snaps. He's a up and coming weapon and can get open and catch. Something not many others on this roster can do, even Bowe has a case of the dropsies every now and then. Had he held onto the ball on that quick slant, he would have been off to the house w/ our first WR TD. Kelce, Bowe, Charles, DAT need to be on the field on passing downs all the time.

Clay...I think this is awesome. Great work putting that together. You are a very talented fellow.

As far as trolls go....they are on every message board for every team. If you think about it there is no super strong team this year. It seems like every team has had a game that they got blown out in. Think about it... not that long ago everyone was asking for Brady to step down. At that time Phillip Rivers was going to be NFL MVP and then they took a dump. Aaron Rodgers was asking everybody to R-E-L-A-X be cause sucked a game or two. The X-Superbowl champs are wondering what happened to their dominance from last year and their fans are starting to have that worried look on their faces. The 49ers fans are just about going postal over their lost season and wondering if they made the right QB decision. Ryan Tannehill was about ready to be benched before they started to win some games. The Browns just lost to the Jaguars and the Steelers just about ready to be crowned unstopable by the media just lost to the Jets....the JETS. How does a QB who threw 12 TDs in two games lose to the JETS?

Anyway...my point is you go on any fan forum and there are always people who are ripping their team for all the many deficiences that plague their team. What we must understand is that football is just a game. It's simply entertainment. We can try to look for the positives even when our team sucks or we can all get ulcers because we don't like the play of a particular guy or a particular unit. Only one team can win the Superbowl so that means there are 31 other team's fans that are gonna feel miserable. I for one would only like to feel miserable 5 or 6 times a year when my team loses. The rest of the time I'm gonna remain in ignorant bliss as my team struggles to squeek out 17 points. Win with style or win UGLY ...I don't care ....just WIN!!!! GO CHIEFS!!!!!

Then after the first 2 runs when their line vanquished our line that confidence sunk like the frickin Titanic. It hit an iceberg and that iceberg was named Kyle Williams. Or maybe Marcell Dareus. You know how the shit goes. We absolutely undressed the pats. It was never about the chiefs. What's wrong with the pats.

You have said it before, the chiefs will get no respect until they win in the playoffs.

The thing that makes the bills of note, it's they hadn't won a game under alex and Andy when trailing by double digits.

It's time to eat your words, troll. I raised you better than this, son. You posted this shit in the game thread and the Chiefs showed you DA TROOF. WHAT NOW?

Alex Smith could learn something for Orton today

This team is horrid, no way we are playoff caliber. Just a soft mediocre team that plays good enough to sell tickets. Same old shit.

No team in the NFL is worried about Alex Smith ROFL

Orton is a baller

I'd rather have Orton

Orton offers more that Alex Smith can't. He would be great in Reid's system

Here comes our savior to the ball.

Alex Smith is a pussy, every time a player gets remotely close to him he tucks the ball and hunches over just waiting for somebody to tackle him. Every single time.

Orton responds to turnovers Alex "Happy Feet" Smith can't.

Progress.

I can respect that. It was a tough game. Just tired of mediocre games being hyped up. I want to beat real super bowl contenders like Arizona, Seattle, Denver, Green Bay etc etc. I can't excited about the Bills, but I'm all for progress and this win did show us some. Thanks Mav.

I know I wouldn't give up 2 2nd round picks for a QB that'll only take you so far. I've been to two SF games this year and even the fans say the same thing.

"I like Alex Smith he's a good QB, but he'll only take you so far".

I don't know how many fans said this. Even the old die hard fans said the same thing. He's limited. Let me guess, all 49er fans are idiots?

One of the top 5 defenses in football couldn't stop Mr. Limited in crunch time.

It's high time you recognized what's going on here: The Chiefs are a damn good football team with a winning formula that works. And they are only going to get better over the next 3 years.

And they are led by the man with the HIGHEST WINNING PERCENTAGE IN TEAM HISTORY.

About the only person who thought this was a gimme, was Hootie. Even he came back and said he missed it.

That is a hellacious defense.
Dane was on the "blow them out" train, as well. It seems like more were involved, maybe those two were just so confident and opinionated about it that it seemed to be more of a common opinion to me. Either way, I TOLD YOU ALL.

You deserve it...

Keep it real....

People like your shit,no need to flip flop or whatnot...

Maybe just dont fall into the extreme trap of OMG FRAUD one week and then OMG HERO the next ...but keep it more realistic and between the lines

We won in buffalo, we got fairly lucky in the end...Lets see what happens against SEA.

I personally think it would be good to have a vlog of each game and string them together at the end that tells a realistic story of the season and not some kind of flip flop inconsistent view..

Just my opinion....

And it MIGHT be better to release the vids BEFORE the game as more of a prelude, to hype up the next game.....you might get more hits than doing a recap every week.

Just some random thoughts..I love yer work, and will help if I can.

I wish Alex would have had some sort of smooth celebration - but very minimal.

I'm not sure Clay where you found Harlan calling it - or if you edited it in from another game - never the less - good job using his version versus whoever called it, I don't exactly remember - however it wasn't Harlan if memory serves.

Its just an idea but then losses aren't really done consistently...

Doing about 33% recap and spending 2/3 of the time previewing the next game would be better in my eyes ....AND it would broaden clays audience to fans of the opposing team...and of the nfl in general..

Its just an opinion from someone who cares....I'm not saying I dislike what has been done....just trying to brainstorm on how to go bigger with it.

I like the idea of doing a weekly video that could become a season recap afterwards..

In other words something relevant for all time that people other than die hard chiefs fans might want to view more than just on the Wednesday after that game...

Could be right regarding the "grow audience" angle.

Kind of interesting to me to watch Red Tribe Cinema from the sidelines. It has a reach and some potential, and yet he doesn't seem to market it or sanitize it much. The attitudes and personal opinions come across pretty strong. They probably turn some people off, but it's also the kind of thing that builds a cult following. By keeping the authenticity, he continually has a small army of ChiefsPlaneteers sharing the videos. From that others who don't visit ChiefsPlanet start to pick up on it and appreciate as well.
