My dad used to just cook up the beef, don't drain it, add some milk and flower, salt and pepper. Serve on toast.

A threepeat from their setlist in honor of my first Van Halen concert last sunday in St. Louie on an absolutely sweltering evening, what a show, the whole band was sooo on point, Eddie was everything I could've hope for... dude is still everything he ever was and more, Cathedral was stunning.

And Dave... yes his voice has lost some pop, but if he'd have just stopped going for high notes and stayed with lower tones like he originally recorded the song, he could've helped himself a lot.

"stop going for a ****ing high note and stick with how you recorded the damn song" I kept saying to myself.

But overall he was still a great showman, an all time frontman and definitely had his moments when he stopped trying to do too much vocally... wouldn't trade him for anyone, its just not Van Halen without him.
