announcers were talking about McGlynn last night and said that the coaches consider McGlynn the glue of the Oline. The guy that motivated and kept the Oline together.

Do we have another Jeff Francoeur situation here?

player that basically sucks but sticks around because the coaches consider him a leader?

McGlynn wouldn't be the best Olineman on an arena team.

He sucks balls. He is Tuuuuurrrible.

They did say that the coaches had told them "McGoo brings an attitude and toughness" they really like... its gotta be smoke to get fans off his back and pump him up personally a bit.

Yeah and that's a bit different than what the OP suggests. That's coach speak for the guy is a turd.

Mike McGlynn, LG: -5.8

Breakdown: A tough outing for McGlynn who struggled against the run for the most part before developing a complete inability to handle a stunting Khalil Mack on the Chiefs’ final drive. You don’t normally see a linemen off his feet so much in pass protection. Colts fans won’t be surprised to see how McGlynn has performed, because for all the toughness he brings he remains the biggest liability on the line.

Signature Stat: His five hurries allowed represent a season worst, while he’s now given up penalties in four consecutive games after not allowing one prior to that.

I have a REEEAAALL hard time believing that Ricky Henry or Rishaw Johnson would be worse than McGlynn

It's been said almost every game for a few weeks now. Well, not directly said, but alluded too with all the talk about "he gives the O-line nastyness, gives them the toughness they need etc".

Maybe the Coaches point at him around the other linemen and say "Don't be like that guy."

Has anybody seen Mcglynn on the sidelines? He looks like a really fat Jay Glazer. His head neck and head look like a thumb.

I haven't seen it on the field, perhaps he gives guys wedgie's in the locker-room or something?

McGlynn is to NFL O-line as Barkley is to golf drives.

In fairness to McGroin, he wasnt the only suck out there last night, all five of them shat the bed.

It was a mayo clinic on penalties and whiffed blocks.

McGroin being the leader would explain a lot.

If McGlynn were a chef on TV, he would be cooking corn king hot dogs on an overturned stolen grocery cart on an episode of COPS.

He did.

McGlynn was in the first round of cuts from the Redskins. That's not that much better, honestly.

McGroin being the leader would explain a lot.

It would explain the Chiefs dedication to him even though he's a liability. They are afraid that if they pull him the rest of the guys will take a step back. Maybe he's helping Hudson with the calls.*ducks SNR's punch*

I called this before the article.

You can see his attitude on TV as well as his crap play. Had to be a reason he was picked off the scrap pile over the other garbage guards.

I'm sure he was a fiery team guy when I was watching him suck for the Colts. But they were smart to bail out when they could to save Luck from being tenderized every week.
