in the last three games - none in the last two games...

This is starting to sound an awful lot like last years wear-down...He certainly won't see many plays off next weekend...

I thought Vance Walker was supposed to help with this.

Yep I said this last year in a post. If you don't have quality depth you're in trouble. At the NT position particularly. You need 2 nt's minimum preferably 3 in this modern nfl where everyone is getting in 60 or 70 snaps a game not 30 like it used to be.

He'll be worthless before 30

You are so incredibly coltish!

How many plays has he had on offense?

I wonder if this is only to learn Pittsburgh's defensive schemes prior to our meeting? :hmmm:

4. 1 against NE, 2 against NYJ, and 1 against SEA.

Interestingly (to me), 2 were running plays and 2 were passing plays. I'm surprised that they want him in there pass blocking.

I think they split him out wide on pass plays.

They were probably play-actions on the goal line.

One school of thought is to keep the pass-run ratio even and have the plays similar or identical with that situation throughout the majority of the season so that when you call it in high-stakes/playoff games, they're not going to have a clear idea of what you're going to do (scouting report shows 50% run vs. pass; defense has to honor both).

Of course, the other school of thought is to simply stick to one concept (example, power runs when Poe is in) so that when you get to those later games, you can call the opposite (PA with a pulling guard) and all of their breakdowns have showed you run in that situation (defense commits to run, PA open).

Chiefs will sign DE Nick Williams off the Steelers practice squad.
A 2013 seventh-rounder, Williams spent all of his rookie year on injured reserve due to a knee injury. He remains a developmental, raw prospect with limited experience after not picking up football until his senior year of high school, but looks the part at 6'4/309 with long arms and good burst.

Rotate them lineman....if we are to make a deep run, they will need to be pretty fresh.

I thought Sutton had learned his lesson on this, if he doesnt trust Walker to take significant snaps there then add another must have to the offseason acquisition list.

DTs don't break down in their careers like RBs. But they do during the season, and we need Poe MOST against these passing teams like Denver, Pittsburgh and SD. They really need to fix this.

One play skewed the numbers.

Let's not pretend the Raiders ran at will against the Chiefs.

The run and pass defense was poor on the final drive. They took over at the Oakland 48 yard line and gave up 15 yards on the ground and the rest in the air and penalty.

It was a combination fatigue and scheme.

On the 90-yard TD run, Poe got walled off easily by Austin Howard, which opened up the gap for Murray to run through a poor tackle attempt from Mauga.

We are extremely lucky that Murray was knocked out of the game early after only a few carries.

Good grief, it's football. Teams give up touchdowns.

The Chiefs aren't the first team to get burned on a long play.

Not on the ground against the Raiders they don't.

I've been saying this for three weeks.

Poe and Hali have played 70 snaps each against both Buffalo and Houston. They ran out of gas by the end of the Oakland game.

I have no idea why Sutton has discerned this is sustainable, but it's not.
